I loved the first season but the 2nd season was a bit meh for me. That said I wouldn't Mind them giving it another shot and not just a mid season filler budget type show. Give it the same effort as a Loki or other big name character. If they don't bring back Agent Carter for this streaming service, I will riot.
I don't think original content is nearly as important for this service as it is for Netflix and the rest. Parents are going to sign up just for the library, especially if they get stingy on Blu-ray availability, which I fully expect. I wouldn't be shocked if the ONLY way to watch The Little Mermaid in five years is on Disney+ if you don't own it already.Unique content is an important driver for these kinds of services, but I think so many of us are kind of in streaming service overload at times. Perceived value is what will drive this thing. I think they have to see how CBS is doing with their streaming service now that it has entered it's third year.

I think streaming is better than buying DVDs. There are DVDs, Bluerays, 4K and soon 8K. TVs keep getting bigger and better. Buying the same movies over and over again is a waste. I will no longer buy them but stream them with better and better resolution. I have some movies on Laserdisk, DVD as ne Blueray. I refuse to buy 4k versions because I spent enough but Disney will keep selling them and higher resolution versions as long as people buy them.I don't think original content is nearly as important for this service as it is for Netflix and the rest. holy frickIger confirmed that D+ will have the entire library.
Feeling? I am willing to put hard cash on Song of the South not being there. Disney has done everything possible to erase that movie's very existence.holy frick
Also, before anyone else comments on this- I have a feeling that Song of the South will not be included.
My kids are going to hate me. "Do we have to watch Blackbeard's Ghost again?"Iger confirmed that D+ will have the entire library.
I agree, but I think Disney is going to get a lot of pressure on them to release it if they are releasing literally everything else in their film library. I don't think its omission will go unnoticed.Feeling? I am willing to put hard cash on Song of the South not being there. Disney has done everything possible to erase that movie's very existence.
I don't know if it's LITERALLY everything. Could just be the feature animation canon.I agree, but I think Disney is going to get a lot of pressure on them to release it if they are releasing literally everything else in their film library. I don't think its omission will go unnoticed.
For context, here is the actual wording of Iger's answer regarding the Disney library:I don't know if it's LITERALLY everything. Could just be the feature animation canon.
So the service, which I mentioned earlier is going to launch later in the year, is going to combine what we call library product -- movies and television -- with a lot of original product as well -- movies and television. And at some point, fairly soon after launch, it will house the entire Disney motion picture library. So the movies that you speak of that have traditionally been kept in a vault and have been brought out basically every few years will be on the service.
