Diary of a Future President is owned by Paramount so I assume the rights are reverting back to them.

Encore! getting yanked is hardly surprising, given all the licensed music on that show.

Howard deserves to be on Disney+ and it's surprising to see things like The Mighty Ducks listed here.

I think he means the Game Changers series that kinda flopped, especially after Emilio Estevez anti-vaxxed his way out of a job.

As for  Howard, Don Hahn owns the movie and not Disney. I actually wouldn't put it past Disney to put it on Blu-ray as a bonus feature for the live-action Little Mermaid movie (Iger’s talked about wanting to revitalize their home video division lately).

This is very unfortunate. I was planning to watch some of these and just assumed they’d always be available.

Good news! You've got about about a week to watch as much as you can. We never got that chance when HBO Max purged their movies and shows (that, arguably more than the removals themselves, was why they got so much public heat).

Aha! This whole impairment thing is a cover to wipe out from our memory the existence of Harmonius!!

Interestingly, the TV adaptation of The Right Stuff is not listed for removal despite being a Warner Bros. production. I'm guessing with all the turmoil at WB right now, they would not want Disney to stop paying them that money.

So Hulu's content is being consolidated into Disney+, regardless of who buys out whose stake (but it's looking like Disney will buy out Comcast.)

But what are the odds that down the line, by 2030 or so, that Netflix will just buy out the other streaming services, reimburse all the studios besides Amazon, and they go back to receiving fees from Netflix (in exchange for concessions of having the studios be the creative controllers of the IPs), things going back to the way it was in 2014, with Netflix and Amazon the survivors?

No.

Hulu content will be on a Hulu tile WITHIN Disney+, but only if you're a bundle subscriber. You can still be a Disney+ subscriber only, without access to the Hulu content.

What you're describing might be a phase 2 or something once the deal is finalized, but the current plan is not to just pick up the Hulu content and stick it inside the Disney+ subscription.

Yeah, one of the things I liked about the D+ premise was that they owned all their content and would have it on the service for ever - Iger even stated that at the launch - at least once all the tricky existing licensing deals ended. You wouldn't have the "this is coming, this is leaving" type news from Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc. And yet here we are.
