Disney's Hollywood Studios: What's Next

I don't think we'll ever see another fully hand-drawn animated film from Disney Animation. I think we will see many more hand-drawn feature films, but they will be a hybrid consisting mostly of hand-drawn animation like the new short film Paperman.

The investment in time and man hours are such a big issue with hand drawn films, but I hope they stick around. I love the feel and look of quality animation and believe there will always be a place for them.

Let me throw this at wall...
I can see not just cloning CarsLand and bringing it to WDW. Disney may want to keep that as a sole California attraction to drum up business there.

But how about another Pixar property? An even more popular one...

How about creating a Monstropolis Land at DHS?

Stroll up the street with cast members dressed as Monsters, visit MIke and Sully's apartment? Tour the CDA? Abominable Snowman snow cones for sale?

Eat at Harryhausens?

Get made up and turned into a Monster ala Pirate League?

Throw a couple rides in there...Mike's New Car Bumper car ride or mini speedway? Maybe a CDA inspired training course attraction? Move the Laugh Floor over there as well.

The E ticket ride would be a tour of Monsters Inc. Which would be a combination dark ride that turns into the Door to Door Roller Coaster.

Thoughts?

(forgive me if this has been suggested before)

I love the Monsters Inc. coaster idea , I wish they'd just do it. Move and re-tool laugh floor somewhat.

If it's Pixar place, I'd also like to see a couple others represented. The Incredibles is begging for an attraction. Dash's run through the jungle, or the battle at the end would be great spring board scenes to draw off. Of course Wall-E is another. And Up. I'd love to see Up represented. Toy Story, Nemo, and Cars are represented else where.

Maybe create "city blocks" that represent each movie in some way.

I thought of this same idea too! haha. I don't know how the CM in monster costumes will work but I like the idea.

- Mike And Sulley Meet and Greet - In their apartment in Monstropolis and the costumes need to be improved.
- Harryhausens - Restaurant from the film
- The Door Vaulter - Roller-coaster door tour through the famous company door vault
- Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor - We know what it is
- Mike's New Car - I like the concept of a c-ticket off the ride but it shouldn't be bumper cars though. Comment below what it should be.

Now now GLaDOS, to counter Transformers, Disney just inked a deal for GOBOTS!!!!!
LOL Tonka's answer to Hasbro's Transformers. Nice! But sadly Hasbro ended up buying out the Go-Bots leaving the Autobots and The Decepticons to declare war on an inferior race of robots, that were quickly blasted into Oblivion.

I love this idea. Monsters Inc. is one of my favorite Pixar movies and with Monster University coming out soon, I think there will be a lot of buzz around it.

LOVE the idea of a mini Monstropolis! I think that could work so well and could easily feed in from Streets of America maybe?

Maybe just one or two attractions, as like others have said, UP or Wall E need something

Harryhausens would be great! The theme, the merchandise possibilities! I'm a huge fan of Ray Harryhausen and would love to see this.

Of course an area or land devoted to Ray Harryhausens work would probably make my head explode...

Monsters Incorporated is a hotter property than Cars?

Please no more meet & greets! Enough!

If this project is 3 or 4 monsters coasters, I'm in favor.

Well if there's a Monstropolis land I'm sure there should be a meet and greet for the 2 main characters of the film... Not some big building but just some room.

I wonder if Disney would plan on doing anything related to the new Oz film in DHS, the park is a fit, the movie could appeal to both the younger guests who are not bothered about the original and the older guests who love it. I know the wizard of Oz is represented in the GMR but if the new film is a success and turns into a franchise then it could be worth giving it something more.
