Just wondering if everyone still thinks there will be more closings in the next month? I arrive 8/28 -9-7, and have been ridiculously going through posts holding on to the hope that I get to do OMD one more time as it is now.

It will close eventually. Just not yet.

Well, at least that explains why TDO hasn't bothered to update/clean up the film about Walt's life story. The soundtrack crackles and the picture is pretty grainy. Frankly, TDO kinda, well, sucks sometimes. I mean, come ON, so OMD doesn't get huge TSMM-level attendance - it's about the man who made the parks (and jobs for the TDO staff) possible. Have some frickin respect!

The attendance is higher than you think at OMD. An attraction with no line, a/c, rain shelter, it really does add up quite a bit.

I wouldn't expect to see Disney invest in much more than the screen rides that seem to be popular today. However, if they could give "Star Wars" the "Escape from Gringotts" treatment, I'd be a happy camper for awhile. I'd love a sneak peek at their preliminary plans.

I thought i'd heard SW was getting basically a reskinned version of the Tron ride in Shanghai for a Speeder-bike coaster.

This, along with a ton of other rumors, are mostly fan speculation at this point. There have been these same kind of rumors circulating for a long time. The truth is that nobody knows what the plans are. And the few who do aren't talking because they don't want to get people fired.

I always thought the crackly soundtrack and grainy picture was 100% intentional.
Julie Andrews' narration is clear as a bell.

Ummm....it doesn't sound that way to me. Now, Walt's narration, taken from an old interview, is a bit garbled, but that's something that can't be helped, I suppose. As for the graininess and crackling, I find it hard to believe it's intentional. JMO.
