Disney's Hollywood Studios 25th Anniversary?

DHS has to be the most disappointing, honestly. Although Future World at EPCOT is pretty much on par.

And it's not surprising nothing is really being done. You'd think anniversaries for theme parks would be the best time to launch new attractions, new rides, new shows, new entertainment overall, but nope, not at TDO. Really a shame. Yet it seems all the other Disney Castle parks get Spring entertainment and MK has ... a trolley show (not that they aren't great, but seriously)

The best thing this park has produced would certainly be Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards, both are great immersive themed environments aside from the BAH. But really what this should be is a celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Citizens of Hollywood. They are amazing, hilarious and add so much character to the park. It's not even funny how underrated/under appreciated they are honestly.

Lovely point to bring up.

The whole philosophy of the Studios was to have a very large, and very present, human interaction component. CoH as an integral part of Hollywood Boul. An active tour guide in the GMR who is part of the show. Behind the scenes tours that provide lots of interaction and views of people at work. Fifties Prime Time, where the staff is not show decoration, but very much the show itself. Lots of live shows everywhere.

It is an interesting aspect of the Studios. I mostly love it (but sometimes I'd rather just look at an AA or be waited on!). You have to give Eisner and the designers credit for having such faith in the Disney personel that they would make them the star attraction of the new park. From movie animators to ride CM's to stage singers to stunt people.

I don't know all the details, but it saw some character schedules for May 1st. There's going to be a rededication in the morning and a motorcade with lots of characters in the late afternoon or early evening, as well as a dance party that evening. I don't know details of what time these things will be taking place, just that there are people shedules to take part in them.

Well, the motorcade is something. And man, they just love dance parties at (most? all?) the Disney parks don't they? LOL. I don't mind them but it's become such a cheap go-to as a way to say they're providing something. I guess it's fun for the kids to dance with the characters and interact with them instead of being in a line so I see some benefit I guess.

Maybe they'll throw out some rare characters?

Oh crap. 100% coincidence that we'll be at DHS on May 1! Had no idea it was anything special when we booked our trip. Does that means crowds will be unbearable?

It's only special if you want to spend 60 dollars on a T-Shirt or if you want to buy a 25 dollar pin Under the BAH...

And no the crowds will be like any other day at DHS.

Ahh my favorite thing about the upcoming 25th anniversary is that new parade they are doi-... wait I mean that new show that is com-....sorry I got confused I meant all those cool updates to the current attractio-.....mhm whoops I meant the brand new attratci-..
Well darn.

lol yeah might as well give up right? Its sounding like mostly a preschool character motorcade (rolling eyes), and another dance party with that oh so beautiful metal stage platform they cant seem to get enough of.
I wish over anything on that day they would announce the hat coming down and a revitlizing of the area, but I dont think its going anywhere. The special fireworks will probably be nice though.
