Not going to lie, really hoping when I go next Friday to AK that the crowds remain that low.
AK looks a little busier today based on wait times. I kind of figured this was going to happen. It seems majority of people wanted to go to MK in the first day. Will be interesting to see how that begins to balance out over the next week and then again as HS and Epcot reopen.

This doesn’t seem too much different than yesterday. There’s always a small spike right after open when the line waits are more so a guess.

It's crazy the discrepancy between the number of posts on this thread, and on the MK reopening thread. There's over five times as many posts over there. Poor Animal Kingdom.
We went to Animal Kingdom many years ago and never went back.

IMO yes. You dont feel any less hot/miserable with or without. If people claim it is insufferable they may want to rethink the physical nature that is walking several miles in this heat in general. Drink plenty of water, take small breaks in AC and to the side.

Content wise perhaps. Theme wise? No debate!
The only time that AK has a fireworks show was NYE in 1999. The guests were in the parking lot to observe the show. That was a disaster. Theme wise? Perhaps, other then that it's the least popular park for my family and friends.

With the way current numbers are, you'll be able to do that in 1/2 day.
My kids did Everest 10 times on opening day we did Dino 4 times and FOP 4 times. Safari once, and Navi once. We went back to the resort at about 3 or 4. We got here today at 9:15 walked to Everest and my kids are on their 5th ride on it. There looks to be less people in the park this morning than 2 days ago. It could just be the people are sleeping in as there is no reason to get here at rope drop.

Absolute agreement. A shining example of what Disney is capable of. If anything could lure me back to WDW at the moment, it’s AK.
