Figment's friend, thank you for that! One change I'd love to see: Have a tiki outside above the exit who dumps a bucket of ice water on anyone who leaves mid-show. :D

Well, no.....
Guests should not be 'punished' for exiting an Attraction they might not be enjoying or is not what they were expecting.
Different strokes for different folks, and all that.

Punishments are however reserved for those Guests who use what is called 'flash photography' in said Attraction....

And instead of actual buildings, they can use screens! :D

Oh, Tiki Room haters, how you break this old heart. Myself, I went through a too-cool-for-corny stage in my teens when I avoided the Tiki Room like the plague. Now I dearly love it. It lets its freak flag fly like few other attractions in the history of theme parks. It's historic, it's got a Sherman Bros. classic, it's got Wally Boag and Thurl Ravenscroft, it's got The Hawaiian War Chant, it's got tikis hand-carved on site by Rolly Crump himself!! Okay, that said, I wouldn't mind seeing some new tech brought in to *really* make that whole room come alive in the finale (like that finale Monkey King room in Mystic Manor, maybe?). What would y'all think of cutting out the "Birdies Sing" number in favor of, oh, I dunno, that song from Lava only jazzed up a bit? No Iago.

Look, I understand. You can only really love the Tiki Room if 1) you grew up with it 2) the chanting tikis right next to your seat scared you when you were small and 3) (Most Importantly) You know that it's Bing Crosby that Jose's imitating during "Birdies Sing" without someone having to tell you.

There are no tiki room haters on here. We like the tiki room and we understand why it is still there. Again.. Its just a "what if" conversation.

It's hard to tell you like the attraction when you say things like it's "freaking boring," it's not entertaining, and you make make an assumption that Walt Disney would have had it replaced by now.

I know you're coming from a WDW background, and I've heard the show is not very popular and well-loved there, but that's not the case for Disneyland. They could replace it/significantly alter it in MK if they want to, but the original should stay the way it is.

That's a pretty specific list of requirements needed to fully appreciate a theme park show, even for someone like me who can geek out over DL nostalgia. Perhaps that explains its cult-like following.

Raven has blocked me, so can someone let her know that the current show isn't the original version. ;)

A good friend of mine and I were talking about Disneyland one day, and she suggested Disney get rid of Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, which made my heart stop. THEN she suggested Disney get rid of everything of old age at the park. It was that moment when I wanted to back-hand her, good friend or not.

Disney has pretty much no respect for Disneyland's history and tradition, let alone the fans.

@raven24 But the current Disneyland show isn't the original version.

They should just combine all these dated unpopular unloved attractions into one super attraction. Great Moments in the Enchanted Tiki Room with Mr. Lincoln's Superstar Limo Go Coaster Explorer Canoes.

It's a toss up. I don't like the show itself. I do find it boring. But the history and nostalgia of the show is what makes likable. For me, at least. I never said get rid of the show all together, but to expand it into something better.
