OC seems to be a hotbed though I thought this recent study by the LA Times was pretty telling. View attachment 494004
Hotbed is not a word I would use, I would use that word more outside California. But hey you're entitled to this opinion if you wish.

Also I'm glad that the Times scientifically tracked all these people for their entire day and not just a moment in time. Oh you mean they didn't, ok.

One last thing based on the county and states website on tracking cases, OC has a lot less cases then LA. So there is that too, meaning maybe the Times should focus on LA enforcement and worry less about OC enforcement.

Looking at the Mattercam for the first time in months. Pretty eerie to see Harbor blvd empty at a time that people are usually going back to their cheap hotels across the street as Disneyland closes for the day.

Right now, its empty and lifeless...just like Captain Kidds

Look at the bright side, at least Tiff's is gone.

Just saw the Disneyland outlet opened (DLR, still closed. WDW, open, but the outlets there are closed). Then I saw this hoodie.

@TP2000 - Can you pick this up for me and fly over in your private jet and deliver it to me? Thanks!

(But seriously, I want that hoodie. Anyone close by who can grab one for me and I'll pay you for it?)

The two Disney outlets I know of are the Citadel (just a few miles South of Downtown LA off the 5 near Commerce Casino). and Camarillo (an hour north Of LA in in Ventura County). Great finds usually and at good prices, too!
Yay!! Great to hear! Are these specifically Disney Store, or Disney parks? Like Disneyland?

I was surprised it was 17 miles from Disneyland. I could've sworn there was one much closer to DLR, but it's been a while since I last went.
There was a place called Disney Character Warehouse in Fullerton just north of the 91 off Lemon and Orangethorpe. They also had the second shop in Pomona which also closed. They basically bought merch from Disney and resold it at a significant mark down...we bought a lot there over the years. It's been closed for years and I believe was different from the outlet in Commerce which is I think Disney operated.

While we know that theme parks are not part of the new California 4-tier system, the OC Register has a good run down of how Disneyland could potentially reopen in stages starting today:

Pretty much a combination of everything. Once something goes “out of style” the merchandise finds its way to the outlet store. I bought some great attraction T-shirts there. I’ve also found Disney Parks totes and lanyards there, too. They also have the usual toys and merch you find at the mall Disney stores and park multi-day tickets for sale.

Come to think of it.... Last year the Camarillo outlets had 2 for $20 Splash Mountain T-Shirts I’m regretting not buying. Shoot!

I am very certain that the Disney Character Warehouses are Disney owned and operated. They are still the ones operating in Orlando, and I use my Disney gift card to pay there. They are just phased out merchandise. I am just wondering if these outlet shops are the same as that or if they are more akin to outlets for Disney Stores like in the mall. I guess one way to find out 😁🤑

Interesting. We were told by the folks that worked there that they weren't owned or operated by Disney. I believe there was one in Vegas as well which is now closed.

I wonder if Disney will get a broad exception from the standard anyway which would make this point moot. The indoor vs. outdoor standard seems challenging to apply unless there is a strict rule. For example: It’s clear Dumbo and the Tea Cups are “outdoor attractions”. It’s clear IJA, SM, Pirates and HM are definitively indoor experiences.

But if I’m Disney I could make a conceivable argument that any ride with vehicles that are exposed to open air and/or UV light at any point during the ride experience and/or boarding process are “outdoor”. Thus, shouldn’t Splash Mountain, BTM, Matterhorn and even Small World, Pooh, and Alice be included? I’d argue, yes.

Heck, even RoTR has an outdoor finale/component. And if you strictly limit capacity you could space people during the preshow was shown at Hollywood Studios.

Different things. That was a company (Character Depot) that went out of business a few years back (2013?)

Character Warehouse are only at Orlando and Disney owned/operated.
Disney Store Outlet is like a typical outlet Disney store in malls, but they occasionally get parks stuff.
