Isn't Pinocchio's Daring Journey in the same vein as Snow White's Enchanted Wish?

The name is... ok. It’s obviously overcompensating for “scary adventure.”

My main problem is that her wish wasn’t enchanted. Geppetto’s was. Aladdin’s was. Unless they’re referring to the witch’s pitch that the apple was a ‘magic wishing apple.’

If that’s the case, the new title is darker and more perverse than the previous one!

Yeah, and why do they want to put so much emphasis on that? Gotta have trigger warnings in the names now?

Yes way over compensating because they can’t wait one week for word of mouth to spread. Anyway, can you explain to me how a wish in and of itself can be enchanted? Is this something my brain just can’t comprehend?

If I wasn’t clear before, you do realize that from Snow White’s point of view, biting the apple worked, right? I’m sure I’m not the first person to make this observation. But if the title of the attraction focuses on the magic of her wish… I’m not sure what kind of message this teaches!

Lol yes but we know that’s not what they mean.

For the record, I'm just kinda meh on the name. People will just keep calling it "Snow White" anyway. But ...

Just to stir the cauldron, aren't the only two options for a wish coming true either pure coincidence or by some method of the wish being granted by some kind of "enchanted" source? Wouldn't some kind of power that manipulates reality to conform to the desire of the wisher fall into a broad category of "enchanted?

So, the navel-gazing question is: Did Snow just stumble into her Happily Ever After, or was she pushed?

Edited to correct a garbled sentence.

Pinocchio identifies as a real boy.
Pinocchio self-identifies as a real boy.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a non-traditional marriage.

The Little Mermaid is bi/trans-species.

Peter Pan is developmentally arrested.

Rapunzel and Bell are human trafficked. Belle develops Stockholm Syndrome.

Aurora is non-consensually accosted.

Cinderella is domestically abused.

Alice is dissociatively disordered.

Elsa is closeted.

Anna is scammed.

Thank you. This is what I’ve been saying all week. So are we riding this ride after Snow Whites wish became enchanted then? So the ride must start after the Prince kisses her. This is like Snow White 2.

Orrrr, the ride now starts at the end where the old witch falling off the cliff scene was which is now replaced by the happy ever after scene and we re going through Snow Whites life backwards in time and physically.

I have to suspect the determination was made that had they simply removed "Scary" from the title many guests would not have actively noticed the change and colloquial usage of "Scary Adventures" might have remained.

Since the overarching effort being made here seems to be to affect the tone of the ride in such a way that young riders no longer feel discouraged from riding, it seems like a case of having to go Left because merely not going Right isn't enough.

I don't completely love the new name . . . but I get it. I would have liked simply "Snow White's Adventures", but it makes some sense that they felt the need to do more. It's an active rebrand rather than a passive one.

And yes to whoever said "Snow White's Enchanted Wish" is syntactically similar to "Pinocchio's Daring Journey". Snow's new adjective seems a little less apt to the story - her story may be enchanting, but enchanted? - but the style of naming is well within the realm.

I would have preferred “The Snow Whiteibusbar”

Or what about “Snow White Seals the Deal”?

Or how about “Snow Whites All Right Journey: At Least Cinderella wasn’t Poisoned”
