The U.S.S. Cygnus address probably should've set of an alarm.
Did the Facebook selfie I posted the other day ding any buzzers?

Nobody said they make stuff up..
I agree. Gringott's was a let down for me, toothless. Forbidden Journey is the gold standard. Diagon Alley itself though is off the charts.
So glad my expectations were kept in check for Gringotts so my enjoyment isn't hampered at all. I remember all the talk that it was supposed to be more family friendly than Forbidden Journey. Kong expectations are in check as well from that person who got to ride it over on OU before they left because of that troll assaulting them with personal stuff. It's a very solid ride. I was led to believe it was the second coming and had too high expectations. That was my most anticipated project for quite some time and even had the random pleasure of being in USO for the last day of Jaws operation. Still remember coming back from IOA on New Years and seeing that Robert from TPI had leaked the vehicle plan.
There are pacing issues, set integration is a bit meh and for me it should have had a second coaster segment (or just not bothered pretending to be a coaster at all). It also tends to just pull up and park you in front of a screen whereas Spider-Man/transformers feels constantly more involved and kinetic with what you are experiencing. In a sense the dragon outside and queue probably outdoes the actual ride.
It's just an ok dark ride, an ok simulator and an ok coaster. I think the fact it was all three could and should have added up to more than their individual parts. For some people it did, for me not quite as much.
Forbidden Journey on the other hand just blew me away. The story makes no lick of sense but it's just a way better dark ride, with more immersive screen segments and a truly revolutionary ride system.
So yea, I'm a bit hard on it from my expectations that it was going to be the "best ride evar" and in reality it didn't crack my top ten dark ride list. It's probably slipping outside of 15 if my general expectations of PoTC at SDL and Kong at IOA match reality.
Diagon Alley though surpassed my expectations.
You also prefer Dinosaur over Indy Mr. CrazyForbidden Journey is overrated. It's a bit sickening in how it careens you in front of loud screens and objects. I mean, it's kind of just obnoxious, isn't it? The queue line kicks the crap out of the ride. They should have also done an immersive Haunted Mansion-style dark ride through the castle, so you'd have an option other than the sickening thrill ride. It's a one-and-done.

But you conveniently ignore the words before that.
Lol, NEVER!!!Can't we all just get along and agree that Countdown to Extinction/Dinosaur is superior to Indiana Jones Adventure?

Hey, we have CrazyCroc to make up for the lack of nutcases at LP.... but then take shots at LaughingPlace, which probably has the lowest proportion of Disney nutcases than any Disney site I've seen.
Either way, you lose, so it doesn't matter.
I completely agree with your assessment of Indy vs. CTX. CTX is a more fun/impressive experience to me, but I have never loved the Indy movies. So, maybe that's why everyone else feels differently.Countdown to Extinction was better. It had better effects. Indy's are mostly corny and unconvincing, such as the cartoon Jafar snake, bug projections with seemingly unrelated air blasts, rat projections, painted cartoon murals again blasting air and "Indiana Jones" (AKA some guy dressed like Indy) holding back the Aurora Borealis (the gates of DOOM!) and awkwardly dangling over the transport. CTX had AA Dinos, including one that chases you, an incoming Pterodactyl and compys jumping over the Time Rover, meteors and a giant asteroid about to wipe out all life on Earth in place of the Indy boulder. Not to mention Dr. Seeker, time travel through a giant toaster oven and Bill Nye narration in the queue line. The ride also feels faster and more intense (probably due to the darkness), while Indy seems to lumber through the temple.
