Seems like they opened Stage 17 to add more capacity for the World of Disney shoppers. Some vloggers are saying it was initially crowded and now, not so much. If that is true (I'm not there, so I have no idea), then Disney probably needs to get some stuff in the esplanade to draw people that direction. They could roll out some special edition churro carts and a couple of popcorn carts selling limited edition popcorn buckets. I'm honestly surprised they haven't done that yet, Stage 17 store or not.

Agreed.

But at what point after adding this and that, expanding into this part of the park and reopening this dining area, staging a fun little entertainment thing and a 3 o'clock cavalcade, just it does become a theme park again? :D

What is the health objection to operating as a theme park? Is it the rides? So long as you aren't letting people go on amusement park rides you can just throw open your gates and offer whatever else you have?

Since it doesn't seem like they are willing/interested in reopening either of the parks for a food/shopping experience like over at Knotts, Disney could bring the F&W festival booths out in the esplanade and serve park favorites.

There are a lot of ways Disney could be making extra money right now, and for a company that pre-pandemic was trying to squeeze every penny out of you they really don't seem to be trying.

Honestly, I think it has something to do with the fact that Disney has been in the news pretty much daily since the pandemic began and they don't want to do anything that would turn the PR tide against them. They don't want to make the wrong move and have it blow up in their faces, so to speak.

Now imagine a parent who has a limited grasp of English, who never got past the 6th grade in their home country's decrepit educational system, or who works two jobs and can't sit there monitoring the useless Zoom classes, or check the homework, or engage the child in creative outlets like history and science and museum visits.

We all know you're talking about Arkansas.
