That may be clever, but it sounds needlessly provocative to me, unless you have a material (substantive) reason to link Mayor Khan to the divisive Minister Farrakhan. In these times, is it really worth it?
Nope, just trying to be cute. Didn't think about it being provocative .

P.S. Wow, I hadn't heard the story about the guy at the capitol. I thought you meant in view of things this summer. I deleted the post.

You framed your question as if the government will get sued. But no businesses were sued if the guests refused to comply. Thus, the mandate is irrelevant. You can pretend the mandate means something, but it’s roundly ignored. That’s because the science wasn’t there. There’s no evidence anyone got sick from exposure at restaurants, and other businesses. No businesses were sued before the mask mandate either.
Sigh. The conversation was over masks and distancing. Disney would get sued if they got rid of either and someone got sick.

Disney is absolutely watched more closely and critically than other companies, and they care more about their public image. They literally pushed off Ratatouille to fall to avoid the optics of opening a new ride in the pandemic while Universal is prepping to open a major new roller coaster in Florida. They similarly delayed their 50th anniversary celebration by 5 months.

You clearly have strong views on mask mandates and I will avoid going down that rabbit hole (which has been discussed to death) with you. I am merely discussing the mandate as it pertains to Disney theme parks. Frankly, I’m feeling more optimistic now and don’t care to enter another awful covid discussion. It’s depressing.

I wasn’t going down that rabbit hole. I was discussing the possibility of getting sued. No businesses were sued about the mask mandate because they were shut down. California merely has the health department in each county that decides if a business especially bars and restaurants are allowed to remain open. That’s all. No lawsuits. The sheriffs and police departments in many counties already said they won’t enforce Covid rules. States like Florida and Texas already said masks are not mandated. You’re not talking reality about lawsuits on masks.

AND you go to a restaurant and bar with a mask. Then take it off to eat and drink. Wonderful mask mandate.

...Anyway...
Has there been an update on ticket sales at all? Or how they plan on doing it?
All we can assume is that more information will be unveiled within a week or two, and tickets will be available relatively soon after. The only other clues we have are from when the park was planning to open last July. @flutas was actually able to uncover some pictures of the reservation system back in June, showing how you’re able to link tickets to accounts online, different pools for hotel guests and regular ticket holders, and the possibility of tiered arrival times to reduce crowds at opening.

Delayed the 50th by 5 months?? Did I miss some news? They are still starting the celebration 10/1?

As of today (tomorrow at the latest) CA will hit the 4M mark for vaccinations in lower income areas. Once official that paves the wave for counties like OC and LA to accelerate their movement into the Yellow tier. As of yesterday OC met 1 of the 3 criteria for the Yellow tier metrics once that 4M is hit. With the other 2 metrics very close to meeting their Yellow tier criteria.

So OC is very close to getting to the Yellow tier and having DLR reopen with even higher capacity.

Orange County more "equitable" and healthier than far more liberal Los Angeles County on it's norther border?

Who'd have thunk it? 🤣

And before I get hate and criticism for being so cold hearted. I mean, really! It was a stage show at a theme park. Can you imagine if the CM's at a closing snack bar did this sort of narcissistic smarm on Instagram when their snack bar closed? Or the CM's from Luigi's Flying Tires cried on their Instagram when that ride closed? None of those CM's do that. This over-dramatic sentiment, so powerful!, seems to only be relegated to those in the entertainment industry. But the CM's at snack bars and rides work just as hard.

I assure you there have been similar reactions to recently closed (revamped) snack Bar actually did post on social media. There are corny cast members everywhere.

Now you're making me itching to share what the CM's at a recently closed (revamped) snack Bar actually did post on social media. I can promise there are corny cast members everywhere!

I would love to see it!

But something tells me snack bar CM's don't have carefully curated tears running down their face when their snack bar closes.

Or do they???

I don't know about that. It appears Disney's Frozen Live! at the Hyperion (or whatever contrived title that thing had), was closed forever back in 2020 and the sets and equipment removed from the theater (theatre?).

Here's the typically over-dramatic thoughts of a young lady who worked at a stage show in a theme park.

Please don't forget to notice the single tear on the face. That's important. Theme Park Theater! (Theatre?)

There's a reason they call it "Drama". ;)

Isn’t one of you shticks always complaining that Cast Members are not invested in their jobs anymore? I’m sorry this stranger was passionate about her job on her personal Instagram. Doesn’t really seem to warrant your post.
