I think Australia would be a fun idea as well.

It'd be cool to have famous brand shopping represented by their continent of origin as well... For example:
  • Europe
    • Channel - France
    • Louis Vuitton - France
    • Christian Dior - France
    • Prada - Italy
    • Armani - Italy
    • Dolce & Gabbana - Italy
    • Gucci - Italy
    • Zara - Spain
    • Burberry - England
    • Nestle - Switzerland
    • Lego - Denmark
  • Americas
    • Micheal Kors - United States
    • Coach - United States
    • Marc Jacobs - United States
    • Ralph Lauren - United States
    • Apple - United States
Looking back at this Europe may need some country dedicated allyways for Paris and Italy :bored:

Here are some of my ideas for WESTCOT:
Have the golden Spaceship Earth be the landmark
Put Mayan Coast in Mexico as a miniature water park
Bhutan as an area where guests can relax in a Tibetan Buddhist-inspired setting
Put the Greek myths walkthrough in a replica of 5th Century BCE Athens
An Amazon Rainforest rapids ride in Brazil
A Reptile Room in Brazil
Put the Asian Garden near Bhutan
A Machu Picchu Tom Sawyer Island/HM interactive queue hybrid attraction in Peru
An accurate Lakota village in the USA (Believe me, I know what I am doing here!)
My Egyptian Attractions, Great Pyramid and Thoth’s Temple, alongside a Sphinx that utters riddles and vague prophecies at passerby
The Mystery House in USA
A walkthrough in Petra
Fiesta, a Mexican cultural experience with a Museum of Mexican history, a folk dance stage, a mariachi stage, a fireworks viewing area, and a restaurant
Maybe count WESTCOT as the 3rd Gate AND the shopping area.

(Before we begin, in this universe Tibet and China are on good terms and nothing bad happens in the Middle East.)

WESTCOT is a shopping complex themed to the different regions of the world with boat rides, hotels, shops, restaurants, and walkthroughs that are themed accordingly. It is open 24/7 including days when the rest of Disneyland is not open. WESTCOT, much like the park it's based on, seeks to educate by way of direct engagement with other cultures.

The Americas is a celebration of the indigenous cultures, nature, and the rich, vibrant histories of North and South America.

🇨🇦Canada (Haida Totem Poles and Haida Art painted on Plank Houses and The Raven Tales Potlatch, a Mystery Lodge show held in a Kwakiutl “big house” exploring Pacific Northwest Native American Raven Tales from the Kwakiutl, Tlingit, Nootka, Salish, and Haida nations.)

I really like this! Building on this, I'd like to offer some (admittedly ambitous) suggestions for the layout:

1690867080982.png

Move WestCOT, with SpaceStation Earth, to the very center of the resort. This centralizes the Shopping Area to make the iconic concept art a reality and converts the Shopping Area of WestCOT into the center throughfaire of the resort. This means the resort is seamless, so it can be themed as one connected environment w/o exiting to Anahiem (as well as trapping people in the shopping district muhahah)

To accommodate for space, we mentioned before downsizing the Second Gate. This Second Gate would need a lower ticket price than Disneyland Park / TBD Third Gate, but its lesser size could provide a more unique experience (a Cartoons Park, or maybe a thematic extension to the nearby WestCOT?)

Facing directly down the Castle from Main Street is SS Earth, and from there, you have direct paths to the Second Gate, Disneyland Hotel, Parking Lots, and Anahiem Convention Center. The Water Park and Third Gate are just a bit further, but still directly in sight of each other and the WestCot Center (I'd imagine the resort in Americas having an archway to enter/exit through, connecting to 3rd Gate). From these pathways, you could easily walk to anyway in the resort w/o breaking immersion.

The only hiccup is about five or so hotels on that corner lot to the 3rd Gate. They prevent this from working out perfectly. I'm not sure the logistics of potientially buying these lots, but worst case its not the end of the world - the park is still a quarter block away to the rest.

Also note potiential Toontown + Galaxy's Edge expansions, if we wanted to get really ambitous.

Love this!

I’d say switching the layout a bit, so Europe can have the larger pad. I’d also expand the hotel to entire roadway to create a “Bubble”

Of we move Europe where Asia is, and switch Park 2 and the water park pad, we could transition from Italy/Paris to a discovery land Italian themed area. The second gate would also have a bigger expansion pad in the northwest plot.

Overall, I think something like this really creates the bubble we’re looking for.

I still think we could do the Second Boutique Park as part of WestCOT. The original plans called for the Future World equivalents to be on the outskirts of the centralized World Showcase; and there were only going to be three: Wonders of Space, Wonders of Earth (a hybrid of The Land and The Living Seas; heck, in this timeline, we could take a page from @MANEATINGWREATH's Mirror Disneyland 2.0, add a wing to represent the sky and have it serve as the home of Soarin') and Wonders of Living (a hybrid of Wonders of Life and Journey Into Imagination).

Would it still be possible to do that?

This may sound a little extra… and I may be off on land plots….but what about making it a DisneyQuest like out of park experience? Maybe double, triple, 4x the size of the one we know - but we could fit a lot there. If the 2nd gate is a botique park - Future world could be like a micro park.

4 killer attractions, one space. A ton of interactive elements.

Heck, if we relocate the Shuttle Depot, you could make it basically a Tomorrowland continuation - like DisneyQuest meets Horizions.

The group’s open brainstorming is really coming together nicely! I think Walt would be happy with it, especially the integration of transportation throughout the resort. Similar to Walt Disney World, it would be a teaching exhibit for others.

That’s what I was thinking by having the people mover, monorail, waterways and bus depot all connect with the ball.

A lot of Kenetic energy - but it really does well with the theme. It really screams “Tomorrowland on the Move”

if anyone else is game for a future world pavilion that’s a separate ticket, DisneyQuest style. It’d be cool to work on a fusion exterior architecture of the spire concept for WestCot, and the old Horizons Pavilion.

But… I don’t even know if we’re going in that direction yet :bored:

Of course we can, I'd be happy to integrate lots of old Epcot!

Since browsing these forums, I've always wanted to participate in an Imagineering challenge, but somehow never plucked up the courage. Time to fix that with this project...

I gotta say, what I'm seeing suggested thus far is pretty good!
