Can anybody recommend any good quality videos of Disney Rides on YouTube. All the ones I have tried to watch are so dark you can't see anything. Whilst I realize the rides are often dark and the videos made by park guests, I figured I'd come to the experts for links to any of good quality??? Thanks for your help!

I don't mind where it's posted! Any advice on good videos is welcome!!!

Just look at my signature for all my Disney videos on Google Video. Several of them are ride videos, including EE, Thunder Mountain Railroad (both WDW and DL), and even Primeval Whirl! :)

Speaking of this. I found a 14 hour DVD set on eBay of ride and attraction videos. Is this worthwhile?

It's a hit and miss. Some are good, others are quite terrible. While it is understandable that the picture will be shaky on rides such as EE, some of them even videotaped fireworks like Wishes and parades without even using a tripod/monopod of any kind. So if you don't have such high expectations for those fan-based videos, then I suppose it is a good buy.

Most of the stuff that I have were filmed in true 16x9 aspect ratio, so if you have a widescreen TV, you'll get to see it in its full glory. I'm hoping to get a high-def camcorder within the next few months and larger hard-drive for the computer that I do all my video editing. When that happens, I will have to re-tape all those rides and attractions all over again (at least those that are still around). :)

No, they are on Google Video. And no, my desire to videotape in HD has nothing to do with uploading it to anywhere.

I have, however, made DVDs of my videos to pass it to friends and other people who have asked for copies of them. So until we have recordable Blu-Ray or HD-DVD units, I'll distribute the high-def video files for anyone who request them.

a little hint ..you can fit around 2 1/2 hours of fullhd video on a dvd .. I encode mine with wmv 2 pass vbr (6mbit) and they come out great .. so no need to wait for blue ray :)

You won`t get any good quality video on YouTube or Google; the format itself is very limited (that`s why the original playback window is so small)

Mousebits, geoffreynease, WDWMagic, bigfloridacountry - all far better ;)

That is not correct as far as Google Video is concerned. While the streaming video on Google Video is of low quality, you can actually download the original file that was uploaded. It may take a while depending on how big the file is. But you'll get the exact quality that was originally submitted. That's why in Google video statistics, you get not only the number of views a video has, but also the number of downloads.
