Disney World Smell Memories

There's something about the standard issue "blushing orange" shampoo/conditioner we brought home from our last Disney vacation that reminds me of the smell of the Haunted Mansion. I don't know how to describe it other than, "musty fruit," but for me, it's a very pleasant fragrance that transports me instantly to that moment when you first step inside the Haunted Mansion, with the eerie music and the fabulously creepy transforming portrait, when a very similar smell meets your nose.

Have they changed the shampoos from the blue stuff?

When we were there in October 2012 and stayed at PORS, we were issued soap, shampoo and conditioner (separate, not the combined shampoo+conditioner) from the H2O Plus collection. The scent is "Blushing Orange." They look like this:

Whenever we are barbecuing it always reminds me of the "Fall of Rome" scene from Spaceship Earth. Whenever my family and I smell barbecue or smoke, we always relate to Spaceship Earth. Also this car wash that I go to smells just like Disney Monorails. Idk what it is.

The smell of all the indoor rides. It's probably the smell of moisture and the A/C, but the two rides that stick out are pirates, space mountain and the GMR.

As a girl if I was ever asked "favorite smell" I'd say proudly "The smell inside of Pirates of the Caribbean at Disney World!" And then I'd have to explain "It's kind of like this, but not really plus this and this..." When I found out they do pump in a dirt smell when I was older it blew my mind it wasn't just in my head. Actually most of the smell I like with that ride is the chlorine in the water mixed with just that old smell from it being an old ride.

Just washed my hair with this wonderful product this morning. I only have a half a bottle left!!!! It's the last thing I have that brings me directly back to WDW.
