Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon

Has anyone gone through with changing their anticipated pace?

I've never done an official half before, but I definitely overestimated how long it would take me when I registered.

Are charities returning bibs?

I have no idea. The few charities I have been able to track down don't seem to have excessively higher or different requirements, so I'm not sure what the hullabaloo was about earlier. The ones that popped up for just a few minutes would seem to be event changes, or CC declines, but the fact that these ones have both been up for overnight now is odd.

Yes. Just go back into the registration and change your estimate. Just make sure to do so before the deadline.

Have I told you lately that I 👍 you?
Thank you! I didn't realize you could do that!
I actually just did that for the Marathon registration myself. I had put down 4-4:30 but don’t realistically think I’d be much better than 4:40ish by then (under 4:30 could happen, but not very likely😃) and my conscience got the better of me. Didn’t want to end up doing the same thing I’ve been complaining about others doing even if it means zigzagging past people for the first few miles anyway!

Do you remember any of the races in prior years opening and then closing this frequently?

Nope. Checked my notes, there were a few times where they came back in and out a few times, but it was often months later. Like the figured out how to fit in some extra capacity or something. My gut says it's probablly something related to bibs they would have held for charities or TAs and are now reallocating as they nail all that stuff down. But I dunno.

I’m not usually a fan of colored medals, but these are fun! Is the potion vial filled with sand/glitter? That’s a cool unique touch!
I’ve always liked the more classic designs with a little silver or gold to them, so really like the 5k. I’m okay with the others (was never much into Nightmare Before Christmas or Emperor’s New Groove; but am happy for those that do love those films that they are getting a medal for characters they enjoy! Heck, I was the one thrilled for a Three Cabelleros medal in 2019 when everyone else seems to want to replace them in the parks with Coco, haha), but would really prefer that they get back to the food and wine theme for the Wine and Dine or, if not, just rebrand it to Halloween if that’s the direction they’re going moving forward.

I also have to admit that I prefer the Food and Wine theme as well. While they are doing this Halloween theme though, the medals are nice for some variety. Definitely a fan of these designs. That two course Challenge upgrade is very tempting have to see how much that would be.

That Yzma is on point. That said, I'm slightly tempted to upgrade my virtual half into the challenge for the other 2. That price though, I can't stomach that price.
