Disney Website? IE vs. Mozilla?

Hi All,

So I use Mozilla Firefox and have gone crazy :hammer::brick:with the new disney website. On a whim, I tried opening the website with Internet Explorer and it came right up - with all my old info that I can not find on Mozilla. For example, over the past few days, I've been trying, via Mozilla, to open up my itineraries. But no itineraries were there. Just today, I was able to begin a new one - but it won't let me plan my days. Nothing saves. But on Internet Explorer, I still can't plan my days but all my old itineraries are there. For those of you who have been having issues with payments going through, viewing the calendar, and using the tools from "My Vacation", what search engine are you using? I am curious to know if that is the problem. Or at least part of it??

I normally use FF for most things and tend not to have a problem. That said, I have so many different browsers installed that I flick between them alot anyway.

If your having problems try updating to the latest versions of FF and Flash.

I use Safari for windows. I find IE and FF really slow down my computer. But thats just me. But of all websites on FF and IE, disney.com is by far the slowest. I love all the features, but boy do they slow your computer down. Safari doesnt seem to have that problem though.

I going to assume the silly site is not working again. B/c I've gone back and forth, done upgrades, and for most of yesterday I could see all the old itineraries on both IE and FF and now this morning, only the new itinerary on FF. And on neither, yesterday or today - can i use plan my days. Is this a safe assumption - that the site is not working properly? With the site's history, i'm assuming this is it.

I would suggest you get an add-on called IE Tab. It basically runs a limited IE engine in another tab of your browser. I have been using it for quite a while and have had a high success rate with it.

Thanks for the tip - I added on the IE tab but it still is not working. I just can't get the Plan Your Days work. And I don't know why sometimes I log in and see my old itineraries and why some times I see the new one I created. I'm at a loss. I guess they are still "tweaking" they system and for whatever reason, my info is coming up somewhere between the old and new. And Plan Your Days just doesn't work for either.

Can anyone else use this function?

I gotta add this. Today is the FIRST day in about 2 weeks that I have had my itineraries come up... Ive been trying every day for 2 weeks and they had disappeared. Occasionally I got a system down message during the 2 weeks. It also didnt have the little thing saying how many days til my trip. After reading this I decided to give it a try, and to my excitement, I was welcomed with my "52 days" saying, and my itineraries are actually there! Im printing them now just in case they disappear again... FYI, I use IE.

Nope - no luck. I just emailed Disney - I should hear back in a month! :lookaroun I created my own itinerary spreadsheet which I love and I am happy with. But this glitch is just annoying and I want to get it sorted out. So frustrating! :hammer: Oh why do you torture me Disney! hee hee hee :ROFLOL:

Yes! Print now!! I'm so glad you got yours!!! :sohappy: My DH works in IT and can't believe how long Disney has allowed this to go on - the Internet issues! I just hopped on my vacation is there - with the complete list of old itineraries - but plan your days is blank and i can't add new. And on my vacation - it shows my days countdown which is correct and if i were to make a payment - it has the correct balance. So it looks like everything is in order except for the Plan Your Days portion.

Folks - slow down. Old Itinerary issues have nothing to do with your browsers...

About a week ago, I changed a res for 4/20. Very close to the time the new "Book Online" feature was added :)

Today? I can "View Itineraries", look at my Res number, and get OLD data.
Use "Search for your Res", enter the SAME Res number... BINGO! Current Data.

Diagnosis? The genius WDW Web Coders left in a link to a back end DB COPY under "View Itineraries". The copy is not synched properly, and reveals old, static data.

USE "Search for your Res" FOR ALL RESERVATION INFO until WDW corrects their bug.

They were notified of the DB data conflict 3-6-09. I expect the issue to be resolved sometime in June :)

Is that the same as retrieve your reservation? I don't see Search for you Reservation. When I retrieve my ressie, it only gives me options to book on line and make a payment. Also - would this effect my ability to Play Your Days? It seems if I was making a new itinerary - it would let me do this. But it won't.
