Disney Visa Free Dining

I saw that Disney Visa is giving free dining in Dec.. We are already going Dec.4-9. We booked it with Disney, hotel, air tickets and dining. We paid in full the day of booking. Disney Visa dates are not the same, and I don't mind changing dates to get the free dining. How can I change dates to get free dining without getting killed with hotel or air fees? And yes I have the Disney Visa Card.

Call Disney and found out how much your vacation would be if you moved your dates. I doubt that your trip will cost any more than it currently does. I am not sure if there is a hotel discount with the package as well, but at the very least your trip will cost the same.

Then research and find out how much it would cost for you to change your flights to the new dates, and ask yourself, if it costs more, is it worth the cost to change your flights and have free dining or keep your flights and pay for food.

Free VISA Dining Nov/Dec '08

I just called about the free dining w/ Disney Visa. It runs for a big chunk of November and 12/14-12/22. I inquired about tacking it on for the part of my existing reservation that fell in the window. With our room discount and Annual passes it's cheaper to pay for the food. You need to purchase a minimum of one day admission for each guest and the room price changes. So, for us it's not worth it but it certainly pays to ask.

WOW.....This just blows my mind. I have been trying to book a room Dec 7-12 at a Value or Moderate. There is nothing available. Why would they offer free dining during that period when the rooms are full?

The rooms are full BECAUSE of the free dining!

The rooms at the allstars are full because of Pop Warner. They offer free dining because it is one of the slowest times of the year, plus with the economy tanking it might sway people that were on the fence.

The dates for Dec free dining are Dec 14-22, so it is not available for your dates (Dec 7-12). Things are full the 2nd week of Dec due to Pop Warner football. There might even be cheerleading competitions. Not to worry though - the PW and cheerleaders are at Disney's Wide World of Sports during the day, so the parks won't be too bad.

I am sure if you do a thread search there is one out there with the details.

Also, if you have a Disney Visa you can sign into the Chase site & check the card benefits > current offers page.

Elizabeth at Kingdom Konsultant Travel handled everything splendidly for us. You should give her a call. It's a free service and she is terrific and easy to work with. elizabeth@kingdomkunsultant.com

Funny thing about the dates. We initially looked at 14-20 and the price was more than booking 18-24, go figure. We got a nice discount on the room and free dining, best of all...Christmas at Disney!!!

Oh I was able to get ADR for most meals that we wanted with no struggle including Steven Curtis Chapman at the Candlelight Processional. I booked at Coral Reef CP Package for Dinner and got 6:45 seating on the 22nd and it's only 1 credit per person. Going into several parks early too. Cindy's Castle was booked for breakfast and lunch of course, so girls are doing Epcot Princess Breakfast, while us menfolk go to Chef Mickey's.

We're going 12/6-12/16. I expect that around the 16th it'll start to get busier and around the 19th it'll be pretty packed. We've gone this time the last couple of years and whatever week is the biggest shopping week of the year before xmas is usually pretty quiet at Disney. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that holds true this year!

I'd love to go during Christmas but working for UPS we are not allowed to take vacations from Thanksgiving until Jan 1.

We went the 3rd week in December last year, and found the crowds to be very manageble, so I booked for the same week again this year. I just recently was able to take advantage of the free dining promotion, and am hoping it will not affect the crowd levels too badly.

There are a limited amount of rooms available for this promotion - I had to change from the tower to a Garden room to qualify.

Just got back and took advantage of the Disney Visa free dining. I originally had a package with a great discount and had already paid in full. I switched to Free Dining with no problems. I lost my room discounts but the free dining meant that I saved $431 over my original package. Since I had paid already, they credited my credit card.
