Disney updates park rules and begins adding signs at park entrances

No feeding the birds - including feeding chicken fingers to the ducks - which my kid thinks is hilarious!

No wonder those ducks are fat and happy :) Seriously though, as odd as feeding ducks chicken fingers is, I think most of the damage is done with fries.

My son gets upset with the ducks at FlameTree BBQ demanding handouts. Don't mess with a boy and his food.

This actually sounds like a decent idea, and makes more sense, since there is a huge difference between how much someone can do if there just an inch taller, or an inch shorter.

I wish airlines would do this, put the person on a scale with their luggage, since why should I have to pay an overweight bag fee just because the extra 2/3/5 pounds is in my luggage rather than on my body.

Im kinda curious about this too, but they probably put this in to prevent commercial camera gear, I'm surprised along with the "personal photos" rule there isn't more rules specified about banning "commercial gear"

There are.

Like if you bring in a when's that you would photograph football with, you will be asked to leave or take it back to your car.

Commercial filming without a media escort is pretty much forbidden. Of course that's that's really hard to enforce given the type of quality you can get out of a DSLR or iPhone these days.

I think the hard part is that "commercial" gear is a hard line to define these days. More and more people have various levels of high-end cameras and glass these days which only a decade ago was limited to a much smaller segment. The Forum (formally the Ice Palace) here in Tampa where the Lightning play has rules about length of lens for example in an attempt to limit pro gear. But it doesn't truly provide an accurate limit on pro gear.

My guess is that they left it vague so they can determine on a case-by-case basis in the park when they feel something is too large. But of course, that makes it highly subjective and one CM's definition of "too large" might not be another's idea leading to confusion, frustration and uncertainty on the part of the guest. :(

Also correct. But it's also your appearance. If you're a "gear head" and you bring in a ridiculous amount of equipment, you'll attract attention.

People who are discreet and play within the rules won't have a problem

I'd like to see pricing by weight!!

At 6'5" I'd rather go by weight pricing too. The more I think about it, I like pricing by weight but it has to include all your belongings too. Make it like frozen yogurt pricing. You want to bring in a double wide stroller and enough crap to last 3 days even though you have one kid who is 8 years old, step on the scale.

Oh you can't make it through a day at the parks without an ECV? Hop on and roll it right over to see how much it's gonna cost you.

probably those gigantic pro ones for video?

That's my understanding
Hey now, if they can get away with showing stupid Captain EO still, then why can't I use my VSH camcorder?

I would love to do cholesterol levels test on the birds around theme parks.
No joke, especially the freakishly aggressive ones that sit on top of Golden Oak Outpost and swoop down at yours as you start to walk away! We had one knock some right out of my husband's hand...
