If you look at the normal costs of travel, hotel, and admission (thats no AP, no DVC, no meal plan, no extended stay) A trip to Tokyo Disney Sea/ Disneyland comes out as being less expansive.

By pure coincidence, my next rough plans for a Disney trip are based around Tokyo. But that process started long before the recent coverage.

Ouch, stop twisting my arm. It's more the finances to make a trip in that direction work for us. Stupid trans-oceanic airfare... Personally, it would be rather cool to see this walking Olaf in person. Video won't do it justice.

I dunno. It is really expensive, and the return isn't there? Logistically, it is a nightmare to operate if guests do not cooperate (we have seen what people to with the limited run robots in GE)?

I didn’t see any nightmares with living characters in the parks - but that is of course anecdotal.

Well, they would have to cut something else then, wouldn't they. Maybe less staff over here, or drop some M&Gs over there....Again, I am not saying this is the reason, I am saying it could be one of many factors for ops not wanting these. Even if Disney could deliver...

Weren’t LL’s offered at the Hyperion?

Dining packages were offered for Frozen and snack packages for Rogers: The Musical (popcorn & soda & seating). I did the package for Rogers: The Musical twice. Didn't get much better seating than the regular viewings but I got a guaranteed seat for the last show and some of the cast came through and said hello and did selfies. THAT was worth it!
