Disney Tree

This year my husband is deployed for Christmas... The only thing that has made this deployment easier on my girls is the fact that they know we're going to Disney World when their daddy gets home, so this year I decided to do a Disney tree. I didn't go nuts, 'cause I didn't want to spend $800 on Disney ornaments in the Disney Store, but I bought a set of Mickey head ornaments and some character ones and the girls were SO excited to put them on the tree! Here are a couple pics:

This remindes me of when I was in the USAF. We had four tours overseas with the family. One of the things that made it easier on the kids was always planning out Disney park trip once we got back to the USA. Prays for those still serving.

We are doing a Nightmare Before Xmas tree this year and what we did was pick up some of the plastic figures from Ebay and the Disney Store and simply put them on hooks. You can get stets of 6-8 figures straight from the Disney store for $15 or less. The most you might need to hang them will be small eye hooks that you can pick up at Home Depot or a craft store. They make very good ornaments for very little cash.

Very sorry you guys will have to be apart for the holiday. Please Thank your husband for what he give to us!!! What a great idea for the tree. I have (over the past 7 or 8 years) purchased 2 or 3 Disney ornaments each year and now we have a 99% Disney tree. We are to the point we run out of stong branches to hang on before all the ornaments are up. This could be the start of a new fanmily tradtion for you all. Each year let each DD pick one and you pick one..and before you know you too will have full Disney tree. I have gotten to the point that I take pictures of what I have beacuse i cant rememer them all and dont want to end up with 2 of the same. :xmas:
