With the current situation of the park, they need to redevelop the back lot before closing more.
That it is.
Strong rumor that Pixar play area like Paris is going in there. several flat rides to appeal to families with younger kids. With the current situation of the park, they need to redevelop the back lot before closing more.
Star Wars Land needs to be as big as Avatar Land - I'm not against there being several lands spread throughout DHS or even having the lands in different parks. Use a peoplemover to transport people to the different areas. With the current situation of the park, they need to redevelop the back lot before closing more.
I believe Universal is currently looking into building Star Trek attractions.Hmmm.
I think UNI getting Star Trek is probably one of the worst kept secrets. I have no doubt they have gone after it or have it. I'm no insider but this is a rumor that's been around for a while and makes complete sense. No way they don't do something with it at some point.
Anyway ... back on topic, lol.
Pixar makes sense in the backlot area because of where Pixar Place is.
Star Wars would never make sense there.
Any plan, IMO, would have Pixar taking up the backlot, Cars taking up LMA and Star Wars somewhere around Star Tours.
There's nothing more obvious than that. You don't even need inside information to assume that's what the likely plan could/should be. Will it be? We shall see. They've made some dumb decisions before.
What goes on with Streets of America besides Osborne Lights at Christmas? Could they be re-themed the area for some events for Halloween - more toward older crowd (Tim Burton)? Seems like a big areaI really hope Toontown doesn't go in DL! Same with the Streets of America in DHS. There is plenty of room elsewhere.
Definitely. It can't be a set anymore and can't be in a soundstage. That said, the update would be largely cosmetic and probably should have been done when they were making Star Tours 2.0.I think that it is also safe to assume that the Star Tours ride will become part of the Star Wars expansion plans. My thought has always been if this will require the ride to be reskinned in some way. There have always been hints at how the imagineers (and Iger I suppose) want some sort of cohesion, or unity, for this expansion that will essentially make it a land similar to how DA is a land in USF. If the goal is to make one big land where everything that is included makes sense and is properly connected to that appropriate theming is maintained, I would think that the look of this ride would have to change somehow.
CarsLand, Pixar expansion and Star Wars Land would really make the park popular. Along with the expansion at Animal Kingdom. - it will start to take the pressure off the MK. EPCOT really needs a billion dollar make over - a lot of wasted areas.I think UNI getting Star Trek is probably one of the worst kept secrets. I have no doubt they have gone after it or have it. You didn't offend me, I was just surprised by the question. To me the IJ series, the original trilogy anyway, is up there with the best films that pass from generation to generation; Star Wars, Bond, Back to the Future, etc.
Maybe I'm blinded a bit by being a huge fan of Indy but then again I really do genuinely believe that the character himself alone is so iconic that exposure to the series has become almost a rite of passage for a lot of people. Its not Star Wars or Harry Potter in terms of mass appeal and popularity but Indy's been around now for nearly thirty-five years and Raiders of the Lost Ark is still up there with the very best adventure films of all time. And who could resist that music?
It's not actually that big. And the answer to your first question...MUPPETS. That's where the major potential for the SoA lies. What goes on with Streets of America besides Osborne Lights at Christmas? And when given a choice of Star Wars Ep 4 or Raiders of the Lost Ark, I choose Raiders any day.

I agree in that the change would be cosmetic only. It will just be interesting to see how they could redo it to fit in with whatever it is they are doing with the Star Wars expansion.
well avatar is 500 million so im assuming it will be at least in that range and keep in mind there already is a solid D ticket attraction already to keep people happyStar Wars Land needs to be as big as Avatar Land - I'm not against there being several lands spread throughout DHS or even having the lands in different parks. Was in Toontown last week, and it seemed similarly deserted. It's seen better days...All that second pic says to me, what a ridiculous waste of space that street is. Slightly more interesting than a basic parking lot.
