Disney to launch NextGen 'My Disney Experience' app for iPhone, iPad and Android

No problems except it required me to add two extremely annoying security questions. It's annoying because it's just a stupid app and the screen cut off half the words in the questions and typing the answers on a cell phone and ensuring it's totally correct (and that autocorrect doesn't change it) when you need it to be the same thing next time, is aggravating.

I was surprised it was compatible even with my ancient LG Optimus M which runs Android 2.2.2

Mine hangs at the point where I put in the two security questions and hit "next". I'm gonna wait for the first update and see if it works any better after that. Till then, everything that doesn't require me to be signed in, works great.

None at all. Just had to add the 2 security measures in and everything runs like a dream.

Just tried again. Still getting the never-ending "loading" whenever I try to submit my two security questions. Must not like my answers. :( Oh well, as I mentioned previously, I'll try again after the release the first update. Maybe a bug with Android 4.0?

Looking forward to the WP7 (and soon-to-be-WP8) version coming out shortly!

ok, so there is a WP7 version on the way? I was worried they were going to hold out until WP8's release and then I wouldn't have it for my WP7 phone. Have you heard anything about when it will be released?

I am on 4.0.4 have you updated recently?

I know this is going to be a dumb question, but have you uninstalled the app and reinstalled it? Also, it may simply be the OS that your phone is running. My college has an app that sucked something awful on my old Froyo OS, but it works wonderful on Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich.

It's a Verizon Droid 2, running Android. Not sure which flavor - just whatever comes on the Droid 2. I haven't uninstalled and reinstalled. Other than not letting me log into my DW.com account, it works fine.

Yup, I have 4.0.4 as well. It could also be my "Disney account". As I have had an account with the Disney owned go.com for so long, it's actually a username and not an email address. Maybe the app is having issues with that. We'll see what happens over time. 15 months till I get to "the World" again so I have plenty of time to get this sorted out.

Droid 2 runs Froyo by default. Have you tried logging on to the DW.com account on the computer with no troubles?

Yes, logged into dw.com successfully. Then immediately used the same credentials through the phone with no luck. Oh well. Maybe they'll fix it and I'll download it again.

Wow. That sucks. Other than uninstalling the app, rebooting, then reinstalling, I got nothing.

Unfortunately all I know at this point is it's a "Windows Phone" app. I'm not sure if it's 7 or 8 :( BUT i'm going to definitely find a way to get a WP8 phone (Maybe the lumia 920...) without paying full price. I'm not up for renewal until next summer, but I will find a way!!!

I couldn't find any additional details. I'm curious how different the dev kits for WP7 and WP8 are. Either way, here's hoping it comes out for WP7 too. Timeline for both WP(7/8) and Blackberry are "fall".

I really want the Lumia 920 too. Unfortunately I'm not up for renewal until March 2014. I got the HTC Trophy with my last renewal for $29 and I love it. But I'll have my I on a new one when that comes out. I did read the apps made for WP8 won't likely work for WP7, but WP7 apps will work on WP8. So hopefully they are already working on a app. I love my phone, I use the calender, integrated search tools, translator, etc on a daily basis, but I hope 3rd party devs start to give more consideration to Windows Phone.

let me know if that worked for you
It worked great. Thank you. Was able to log in also and get past the security questions. How can you only allow answers that are six or more letters. It isn't a password. My dad's middle name is only 5 letters so I had to use a different question.o_O No big deal just a little silly. The quality/resolution of the app looks good on my 7" screen. The old disney parks app map was too low res to look clear on the 7" screen.

Installed this last night and it runs like a champ.

I was sitting on the couch looking at queue times for all the rides then looking at the youtube videos. Darn this site and darn you people - I was all nice and mellow about this vacation and now I have some Disney addiction. I'm going to need some 13 step program to get past this

Not sure if anyone mentioned this before or where to post exactly, but has anyone else noticed that Be Our Guest is categorized as a "dining event" like the chefs table or dine with an imagineers.

Well, if I could get mine to log into my online account, I'll test it in November. Or, hopefully, I'll have a new phone by then.

Just testing during the day today - It looks like the issues with the wait times not refreshing has been resolved. This is excellent news.
The login/logout issues still seem to be there, but right now it doesn't really matter.
