Super mixed feelings. A broad South America land would fit great in AK. I love Indy and I guess Encanto could fit fine.

Goodbye Dinosaurs. You’re extinct in real life and now also at Walt Disney World. One of the reasons I loved this place as a kid.

Now if only Universal would fix up the River Adventure

I love dinosaurs and the ride too, but I would much rather see it happen this way than with zootopia being crammed in there, it sounds like they have their heads on their shoulders with some of this for a change.

So with Beastly Kingdom never coming to fruition and Dinosaur/Dinoland most likely being replaced by IPs, this means the original core concept of Animal Kingdom representing real, extinct and imaginary animals is 100% dead and buried and now it's nothing more than yet another IP park.

The sooner you come to terms with the fact that Disney literally doesn't care anymore and will just make all of their theme parks into generic IP dumping grounds no matter how unfitting for the sake of pure capitalism, the better

I think I said it once before, but EPCOT and Animal Kingdom are absolutely going to struggle maintaining a theme in our new IP-driven era.

Magic Kingdom and DHS, IMO, the seams won't show as much, but the other parks were just not built for this.

I really like the idea of theming it to a region of the world and one that isn't currently represented there or, really, in World Showcase - so that part is good

Encanto, fine, we'll see how it fits, but Antonio does have the connection to animals so can play off that, and if they do a ride using the Mystic Manor ride system that would be fun

I really don't think Indy fits the parks since he went around the world and said treasurse of places belong in a museum, not with the people of the land, etc. ... but is what it is and if they retheme Dino to the Indy ride that is a vast improvement from a ride enjoyment perspective

There must be next to no 'savings' on replicating a ride from the 1990's so you have to assume this would be a new build that may take some references from the original IJA.

Wasn't there a long rumoured Indy and dinosaurs overlay rumoured for Dinosaur many years ago?

Huge win. Replacing one of the worst lands in any Disney theme park with likely one of the best in any theme park anywhere.

Finally we can get the flavors of South American food represented in the park, give me some empanadas!

Finally Dinosaur will no longer be a “what we could’ve had” every time we ride it. It’ll finally become the attraction it always should’ve been.

A mystic manor style indoor family attraction is exactly what Animal Kingdom needs.

Everything about this is infinitely better than the actual blue sky they threw out last year.

If you noticed, they glossed over Magic Kingdom, because they don’t have firm plans anywhere, but for Animal Kingdom, they actually clarified what they’re planning to do. Animal Kingdom was always the priority number one and this confirms that. This isn’t the blue sky nonsense of last year and it’s super exciting.

A full South American continent is perfect for Animal Kingdom. New animal exhibits throughout the continent, gorgeous placemaking, and a true upgrade. Perfect, perfect, perfect. Hopefully the area between Indy and Encanto becomes a new animal trail.
