oh! Lacoste, Lucky Brand and Volcom too!
Fair point! I may have been a bit short sighted!

I would have thought that disney would have tried for stores to attract the foreign European and South American markets with stores like hollister, bath and bodyworks and Victoria ' Secret (could maybe see why they might not be welcome). Maybe we will see then announced at a later date. Still no mention of apple - unless I missed that!

Must say I am super excited for Disney Springs - they really have got this right! Hope the west coast version starts construction soon! :)

Hollister is already well established in Europe. Abercrombie & Fitch have some stores, but are going after a much higher end position in Europe so only have one or two stores in each country. Also they are something you can find in ANY mall in the US.

The Disney Springs stores seem to be a little unique, they are going for places that have few outlets in the US at least. But the big stores, Zara and Uniqlo are very well known in Europe so are more unique in US.

Since it has been awhile and we have the benefit of hindsight, here is the leaked vision board for Disney Springs from 2013.

A lot have gone ahead though
Disney Burger = D-Luxe Burger
Disney Bakery = Amorettes Patisserie
Trader Sam's went in the Poly
Boathouse, Morimoto, Food Truck park all opened.
Walt's and the Edison are being built.
Yogorino probably got replaced with the gelato place, Argo tea replaced with Tea Traders (Joffreys).
That only leaves a few places that didn't go ahead, but we also got Ganachery, Jock's and a few others.

On the stores there are more that don't seem to be coming. But a good number are. Topshop/Topman is the main one that stands out as not being announced. Apple as well hasn't been announced but is still rumoured.
A Marvel store is in Westside. Uniqlo is confirmed, I haven't seen American Girl though.

American Girl wound up at The Florida Mall.

As for Apple, I highly doubt there will be an announcement. If it's not a project that requires loads of government involvement like their new San Francisco and Chicago stores, they just let them pop up with minimal fuss.

I have to be honest and say I kinda wish Disney hadn't announced all of those stores. It was much more fun waiting on the edge of my seat for you to post a new permit with a surprise tenant...or one with a mystery owner like the "Elizabeth St Showroom".

:D

There was a permit filed today for "New Construction of a single story Restaurant" and the owner of the project is "Great Irish Pubs of Florida, Inc" which is the company that owns Raglan Road. The location is listed as C-07 which is not on my map, so I am thinking I might have mis-labeled one of the locations around Raglan.
Hey @danlb_2000, is this permit still valid? I didn't realize you posted this forever ago and C07 is still vacant.

Interesting. I wonder if Raglan decided not to expand. This is the last vacant parcel that hasn't shown any signs of activity, right?

I though that was going to be a quick service extension to Raglan, as you say I guess that fell through.

Sometime between December 2014 and August 2015 this path was added to that area. This picture is from a couple months ago. It appears that there are still construction walls around the area.

Here's what the area looked like in December of 2014.

See, this is the lineup of stuff that would make Disney Springs a more well-rounded place. I assume a lot of these got cut though. Where's Walt's Place, Yogorino, character dining? Oh well, all I can hope is that what's yet to be announced takes care of some of the missing types of places.

But the biggest thing I noticed here is "Disney Bakery." I haven't been following too closely but are they actually turning Goofy's Candy Co. into a generic bakery? I don't know how many of these ideas/plans fell through, but I hope that's one of them. Maybe these changed plans aren't all bad.

Amorette's is the Disney owned bakery coming to the Town Center.
So not in place of Goofy's Candy Co? Just an additional bakery? If that's what it is, I'm fine.

So it sounds like either a lot of things that were supposed to be "Disney ___" got different names, or those original names were just placeholders from the start.

As you mentioned it was a placeholder. When you actually critically look at what's happened they pretty much delivered. Everything happened, has a clear substitute and even quite a few things came as 'extras' beyond what was promised. Really the only clear thing missing is a Character Dining spot (which depending on who you ask might be a good thing).

Completed

Morimoto
Raglan Road
Food Truck Park

Under Construction/Announced
The Edison
