If he had this elaborate plan I assume he had some kind of water proof zip lock type bag to keep it dryWould like to know where the thief put the money for the escape swim in the waterway.
I mean, $10,000 to 20,000 in cash is a lot of paper bills to fold up…and it will all become wet…and heavier to carry.
Stash it in a Tupperware container to keep it dry…?
Or just stuff it all in your wetsuit and once you arrive home spin the money in the laundry dryer…?
Perhaps as others have already suggested, he never went in the water to escape and walked out with the other employees.
High n’ dry.
Inquiring minds want to know.

And you... Are no fun...Faking a robbery, either just a report or otherwise, is a crime...
There’s a lot of damns and filtration systems that would make it
Rivers of America was really the only in-park body of water that directly connected well outside the park and even then there is a lock behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.Could a submersible be put in somewhere "remote" on property and then be used to enter a park? Are the waterways connected enough to do that?
Maybe the 10k -20k was in coins?Would like to know where the thief put the money for the escape swim in the waterway.

My guess -- he used his phone app to electronically deposit all the cash in his account.Would like to know where the thief put the money for the escape swim in the waterway.

You can get waterproof bags. I remember getting one for belongings on a rafting trip once.If he had this elaborate plan I assume he had some kind of water proof zip lock type bag to keep it dry
I’m thinking he was already wearing it under regular clothes, came in by foot and then put the mask on. After he had the money he covered up in regular clothes and walked out. I don’t believe this persons ever touched the water.I'd like to see the video showing the robber removing scuba gear and then removing a wet suit. And then once the robbing was done, how he put back on a wet suit and re-geared the scuba equipment.
That's a lot of time and effort. Especially once one starts their get-away.
Security SHOULD be going around in little submarines looking for potential scuba thiefs.Shouldn’t security be doing those things?
You would think that if he came and/or left by foot there would be security camera footage of him. I know that Disney's security camera network isn't as extensive as the myth but I would think that any outdoor shopping mall in 2025 would have enough coverage to see someone walking in and out.I’m thinking he was already wearing it under regular clothes, came in by foot and then put the mask on. Dry bags are a lifesaver if you go out on the water a lot. I never take my kayak out without itYou can get waterproof bags. I remember getting one for belongings on a rafting trip once.
The other thing with this is that it’s Disney involved, who knows what’s happened since the initial report and how much Disney is keeping hushed up, we may never know what actually happened. You would think that if he came and/or left by foot there would be security camera footage of him. Did you use ziploc bags to keep them dry when you got back in the water?$20,000 in $100 bills is only 200 separate bills, or two stacks (like what comes from a bank) of cash. $20000 in 20s is 1,000 separate bills or 10 stacks. Easily able to be carried by simply placing it at your midsection. It isn’t as hard as you all think.
Wasn’t me, just pointing out how a lot of money can be quite compact. A million dollars (in $100s) fits in a suitcase, 20k is only 2% of that.Did you use ziploc bags to keep them dry when you got back in the water?
Remember the dolphins in the tank? The perp had to have some knowledge of the location to be robbed and the waterways and have skill with scuba plus a dash of bravado. One thing for sure, a gaping hole is now exposed in the safety and security of WDW property. Is Disney corporate paying attention?
