Disney Springs on a Saturday Night...

Also drunk guys coming up to you on any night is annoying, but on vacation when you're with your little siblings and over protective dad makes it 10x more annoying. Hope there's less of that this year.

DS is very popular, far more then DTD was. It also has local buzz, so the locals are hitting it. IMO, Thursdays and Sundays are the best evenings. Its the right mix of busy and good entertainment with out being overwhelming. Friday and Saturday nights can be too crowded.

The one problem I have with the DS atmosphere is that the music is VERY audible from the Congress Park section of Saratoga Springs. It was hard to get to sleep before 11:00 because the bass was thumping across the water.

Odd. Congress Park with with Pleasure Island Midnight Fireworks in mind. The four buildings that make up Congress Park at DSSR have more sound proofing them most resorts. The windows and glass slider doors are double paned.

I actually didn't even go over there during our trip last month. I just figure the construction is still pretty bad but I might go over there in September when we are back. I read a review for that D-Luxe Burger place and it might be fun to try that and we don't even ever do quick service meal but it looked like it might be worth a try. Anyone here tried it? Also does Tables in Wonderland apply there?

The burgers are great!! They cook them with a pink center so if you don't like that make sure to ask for it well done..

In what way? We just got back from a week at WDW and went over to DS several times. Other than some high end shops that did not appeal to me, I guess I just missed the disaster part. If you are referring to the crowds, that is just the opposite of disaster in the retail spectrum.
LOL. The high end shops will most certainly appeal to me, lol. Disney Springs is coming together so beautifully. I totally *love* water -- and the water there is so unbelievably blue. I can't wait to see it.

I never got a chance to experience Pleasure Island and the Adventurers Club at DTD because I was too young. After I was finally old enough to go to clubs -- Pleasure Island had already closed. I don't even like going to clubs but I did want to experience Pleasure Island just once.

Crowds...Saturday night..... sounds like Disney got what they were hoping for. Bring them in, feed them, entertain them, give them a thrill and they will keep coming back depositing more and more money.
OMG. We had a great time. I totally *love* the vibe and energy at night.

We dined at Raglan Road and there was this amazing Irish band playing. And, you could hear a really good live band at House of Blues, too. Like, there was music and lights everywhere. Really great energy.

Yep, disaster for certain.
Disney Springs is so much cleaner and almost everything is fresh and new and the crowd seems more sophisticated, too. And, I *love* how you can dress up or down here and still fit right in. So, I can understand how Disney Springs may not appeal to some of the 18-24 crowd. I guess.

I just feel like, those people who want to visit a small quiet fish village can just go early on a Monday morning or just visit Fantasyland or something.

I totally love the more grown up adult -- 25 and up vibe here. And, I do *not* want Disney to make this place all kiddie like. Again, those people can just go to Fantasyland and ride Dumbo with the fam.

We were in building 1, third floor facing the water. The sound that really came through was the DJ party at the Waterside Stage.

Where art thou Siren?
Awww, Marni! I missed you so very much!!! Like, every single day. You know I'm just one click away.

Anyway, it feels so weird here. I don't know what it is. But, I think I have created enough havoc for now to make it feel like normal.

As for Disney Springs being chaotic -- I don't know. From my understanding, the former DTD withstood a lot of crime and fighting and attracted the wrong types of crowds. There were many incidents highlighted in the news, which brought about the closure of Pleasure Island.

So, I imagine this has to be an upgrade. I can't wait to see the finished product. I wouldn't shop at any of these stores at home, so I am looking forward to it. Especially, the raw honey shop.

How was this not nominated for post of the year?
