That's just crazy.

Actually not really ...it's just a year... from ground breaking to finished product. It seems like a ridiculously long time to build a parking garage.
The last time somebody threw a building up really fast a wolf came a long and huffed and puffed and blew it down. I'd rather be in a parking garage that I know was built strong and that they took their time in order to build it.

I am visiting at end of June is any of the new things going to be open or will it still mainly be a construction site?
To be fair, you did respond to a post from 7 months ago.For the size and construction methods i'd say that's a really short time period. Late January or February 2015 is more realistic.
LOL I guess I did. It's really easy to miss something like that on this site.To be fair, you did respond to a post from 7 months ago.
How does it compare in size to the one going in at Uni?For the size and construction methods i'd say that's a really short time period. Late January or February 2015 is more realistic.

That accounts for some of it. What are the perks of NOT using a prefab building? The west side garage is roughly 4000 parking spaces while the Universal parking garage is 2100. So the west side garage is double the size and thats only the first of 2 garages planned for disney springs. The second disney springs parking garage will have approximately 2000 additional parking spaces.

Edit: it is also important to know that the universal parking structure is prefabricated so it goes up faster than a poured in place structure. here's some photo proof(bottom of the page): http://micechat.com/55076-universal-update-diagon-alley-scaffolding-comes-harry-potter-celebration/

Once that garage opened and the ramp to enter it from the elevated road, it was the beginning of the end of parking issues there. Once the second one opens, I think they will finally have adequate parking as I don't think the boost in people visiting will increase that much... unless of course, they don't start closing the parks early to only allow after hours guests that pay a lot to stay late. The west side garage is roughly 4000 parking spaces while the Universal parking garage is 2100.
