Does anybody have a map or drawing showing the whole dedicated bus lane? How far will it go?

As far as I've been able to decern it will go as far as EPCOT center drive. Beyond that it's anyone's guess at this point as we don't have drawings or any other rumors pointing twords the dedicated lanes expanding past that point.

Photo update as of Sunday, Sept 6. The pedestrian crossover of Buena Visa Drive near the Orange parking garage now has some landscaping. Work continues during Labor Day weekend.

The entrance ramp from I-4 exit and Buena Visa Drive into the Orange parking garage now has signage at the upper level lane division: right lane into the parking garage (foreground), left lane onto the S-shaped ramp to ground parking near Cirque du Soleil. The S-shaped ramp is paved and has painted lane markers.

Looking eastbound on Buena Visa Drive, the ramp to the Orange garage overpass entrance is paved and has lane markers. Traffic lights at the top of the ramp were installed a few weeks ago. The I-4 exit leading to this elevated intersection is to the right in this photo, the Orange garage is to the left.

Beginning Tuesday Sept. 8, the flyover ramp to the Orange Garage will partially open. This will provide direct access to Orange Garage Level 3 from eastbound Buena Vista Drive, as shown in the last photo just above.

Ground-level garage entrance at the Typhoon Lagoon / Buena Vista Drive intersection will temporarily not be available during on-going construction of the S-shaped ramp into the ground level parking lots near Cirque du Soleil (see second photo above).

The I-4 exit access to the Orange garage will not be open.

Thanks again for posting the video.... Since I am traveling down this weekend, its good to know there is a new way to get into DTD/DS parking.

It'll be interesting to see what the intersection looks like once everything is complete. The "exit" for the garage is very close to the Typhoon entrance which seems quite confusing as it exists now...almost as if that right lane is ONLY for Typhoon. I don't even want to experience what this upcoming weekend is going to be like since it's an all new traffic pattern. :)

I'm also interested to see how the traffic light is going to operate at the top of the ramp. It has to control traffic exiting I-4 and also the traffic basically still turning left to get into the garage from BVD. Pretty high volume coming from both directions I would think.

Definitely a huge improvement, though!

its not like a single light outside of the MK parking lot, there is steady traffic all day at DS, not a mad rush in the morning...

I realize this. But, on a Friday or Saturday night, there's a massive backup getting off at the BVD exit (from Epcot Center Drive) AND two packed lanes trying to turn left into the surface lot. These cars will still be funneling into the same area, just now at this intersection. I'm not saying it's going to fail. I said I was interested to see how it ends up working. I'm sure very competent traffic engineers designed the whole thing.

i take it as this, flyovers are a game changer. there is no stopping to cross traffic... that is the #1 IMHO reason for traffic on this road... the other is the constant stream of busses... which is being corrected by the dedicated lane. this whole project looks to be shaping up into a really elegant solution to the BVD woes of yesteryear(the widening, the ramps and flyovers, the elevated pedestrian walkways)

Amazing pictures as always!!! Thanks for posting!

A couple of observations:

1. Is this the first guest-facing project (Springs) that has Reedy Creek Improvement District Signage (on the garbage cans)? I saw them in the Orange garage a while ago and thought to myself that it was interesting they decided to call them out as RCID.

2. The signage on the elevator says Downtown Disney and the bridge/stairs says Disney Springs. I can see if this was a transitional project that has signage changing over time, but this is a brand new build. How they missed that is beyond me.

The stairs don't look nearly as intimidating from ground level! It's good to see people actually using them.

They truly are beautiful and well-crafted, especially for something as simple as a highway pedestrian bridge. One mild criticism: I'm surprised they opted not to put a more solid overhead surface (I wouldn't even say it needs to be a "roof" per se) over the walkway, instead of just the wire mesh they went with. It seems like it would have been nice to have if it were raining or brutally sunny out. Maybe they felt they would've had to install lights?
