Disney Springs construction photo update as of Sunday, Nov 16. New display windows on storefront in passageway between Raglan Road and Portobello's.

on google this walkway looks really skinny, but it looks a bit better here. it must be an ok width considering its the only access between the west side and the marketplace through PI right now.

The deck/pier is taking shape at the Marketplace across from The Co-Op. By placing existing kiosks here, it will open up the street in the Marketplace.

so while they open up access to the water at "the landing" they are really blocking access to the water over at the marketplace.

im a bit surprised these overwater constructions are made of steel and wood rather than concrete.

Steel decking installed around the perimeter of The Boathouse, out to the building in the lake, and at the boat ramp in the foreground.

are the cars going to drive around the landing? just seems like they could of put the boat ramp elsewhere if this wasn't the plan.
The T-Rex end of the causeway is now obscured with several newly planted trees and palms (center of photo below).

wow the marketplace is construction wall city, just like the west side. didn't realize there was so much construction in addition to the causeway.

Food Truck park. As shown by the recent aerial photos, landscaping and plantings are installed. Today the workers were putting finishing touches on paint. This "over the wall" photo near Starbucks shows the area should be open soon for guests.

did they cancel the elevator to go up on deck? looks like they did, as it looks like they planted plants where it was suppose to go.

Additional photo updates as of Sunday, Nov 16. An "over-the-wall" view from Paradiso 37 looking "uphill" on the street towards Plant Hollywood. A low rockwall with street light has been installed on the left, but it appears more underground work is being done in the middle of the street.

is this hole over where "The Edison" may go, as theres an underground space on the map.

could they be building an access point from this level?

Awesome Post. Thanks again.

This is looking really nice! Can't wait 'til it's done.

Excellent pictures WDW traveller. I wish I could show pictures of the things behind walls but it feels to unethical. However, you managed to do it while being clean, so well done!

Elevator was cancelled. Decided it was a risk since people could fall off or throw food off the second floor. Also a potential risk from stormy weather.

Food truck park could open Friday if everything works...

oh thats pretty dumb, the whole concept of the structures to begin with was to be a "high line" style park.

guess this is what happens these days whenever the lawyers get involved, canceling destroying things, before they even get a chance.

what do we have to do next ban every balcony in the world,

what about the train station at MK, people could fall off or throw food from there, but do they NO.

and what about the walkways from the parking garage? using this theory those should be canceled to, since OMG people are going to jump off or throw things down on cars and people.

Its one of the primary reasons we no longer have the Skyway. :(

Photo update as of Tuesday, Nov 18. The view from the new plaza near the small amphitheater (between The Boat House and The Hangar), looking "up hill" into the street next to Paradiso 37. A senior cast member talking with guests was overheard to say this street will open up by the end of November all the way to the original bridge into the West Side. This means most of the construction walls at the bridge end of the West Side will be gone also. (It was cold today, didn't get over 50 degrees all day.)

If you were standing on the elevated deck of Paradiso 37, the view "over the wall" is this. A concrete planter is being readied for vegetation.

The new "walk-up" bar railing at the elevated deck at Paradiso 37 was recently stained to match the exterior wood of the restaurant. This bar railing will overlook the street scene above.

Over to the passageway between Raglan Road and Portobello, new construction shrouds are covering the walls.

Additional update photos as of Tuesday, Nov 18. This is the T-Rex end of the Marketplace Causeway. Standing water is from recent rains. The next photo is just to the right of this view.

In front of the T-Rex Café, a much needed waiting area with trees and low brick walls for seating can be seen in this view.

Here is another view of the new area just to the right of the above photo, with the entrance to T-Rex on the right.

theyve really gotten lazy with the tarps on the buildings, back when they use to do work, they'd make custom printed tarps that look like buildings.

Miscellaneous photos of Downtown Disney, as of Tuesday, Nov 18. The scaffolding around the volcano at Rainforest Café is now removed. Part of the Marketplace Causeway in the foreground.

anyone know what they did to it? it looks the same.

Photo update as of Tuesday, Nov 18. Finally, I thought the deck/pier being constructed across from the Co-Op was sized right, but today they were setting additional pier posts in the mud, extending the pier further into the water.

View attachment 74231

anyone know what this is for? looks too big for just a simple kiosk

lets hope its some kind of establishment like a mini restaurant or something that partially engages with the new waterfront and view of the causeway

He looks like he has fashion induced bi-polar disorder. "I'm warm!! ... But I'm also a little cold." :hilarious:
thats what happens when people go on vaca in florida without checking the weather first

my group under estimated how cold orlando would be in december once as its always warm in south florida
