It's my understanding that each of the hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd. and the Swan and Dolphin have a shop that is owned and operated by Disney.

These are all on WDW property, so that is not suprising.

A good way to tell if a store outside WDW is not owned by Disney is that the merchandise will say "Florida" in Disney font on it instead of anything specific.

Some also have that Disney Dreams Florida logo (you see alot of these shirts in the Wal Marts around the WDW area aswell).

As to determining which are Disney operated, just look for the cast badges, if they are wearing a cast badge (similar if not the same as what is currently being used in the parks) chances are they are owned by Disney.

I was under the impression that all Disney Stores- like the one at the airport- are no longer owned by Disney. I thought that they were bought by the Children's Place. However, maybe the one at the airport is owned by Disney since many people visiting that store have been or will be visiting WDW.

Yes, I was actually talking about Disney World Shops outside like the Disney World Shop in Gaylord Palms.

The Disney Store(Disney Consumer Products) is now in fact run by Childrens Place.

There are two outlet mall stores in Orlando that are owned by Disney. Employees are considered cast members - they wear laynards and do pin trading too.

They are definitely owned by Disney as I have used my Disney Reward Points to go shopping at both the outlets.

Both of the stores at MCO--the large Disney's EarPort in the terminal's east hall and the smaller Magic of Disney in the west hall--are stilled owned by Disney.
