That TOT back side really is an urban legend. The backside of it has the same architecture as the front side, just with less detail because it is not a show facing side. it is also visible behind other countries besides Morocco from the world showcase. Just depends on what angle you try to look at it.

The rivera resort peaked out at its top height some time ago. It does not seem to be on the WS horizon.

Hmmm I'm pretty certain I read that the backside of ToT was themed to fit with Morocco in one of the Imagineering Field Guides as well as in other literature.

The Riviera has topped out and is visible behind Germany and a little of Italy but not as distracting as say Swalphin.

I would still like to know how European Riviera and Caribbean Islands are going to seamlessly flow into each other?

The Tower thing is a myth. Has nothing to do with Morocco.

I would be surprised but curious if it is in a field guide. If someone can provide the documentation, or any there Imaginneering publication, I would be interested to know.

I have not been able to see the Riveria while inside World Showcase. Where one the WS promenade is the Riveria visible from?

If you have a telephoto lens on your camera, and take a shot across the World Showcase Lagoon, you can see every building in Florida. True story.

I know there are some pictures floating around (some quite possibly in this thread) but I do know you can spot the roofline from Canada down to around the Showcase Plaza .

I guess no one at WDI or whatever firm they hired (WTG??) ever reads/looks at McMansion Hell. Would round windows really have broken the budget? There is no reason other than budget and/or incompetence for such incongruity.

:Edited a word.
From the new concept art it looks like those windows will have an RR on them and possibly another symbol or design. See zoomed in screen shot below:

The ones on the porte cochere look to be lit up from behind. Looks pretty decent to me lit up, but can’t tell from the art if the ones on the roof will be lit up or not.

Even with ornamentation, they are still architectural nonsense. The whole point of a dormer is to facilitate a window and a mansard roof allows for occubiable space.

lmao at all the people on that IG hating on those houses who prob live in apartments or small houses
Odd, I'm laughing at the people who spend exorbitant sums on homes of such poor design when I look at her images.

IMHO looks a lot better with more details showing. Much more “French Riviera”. I’m sure it still looks like a Holiday Inn to some people too;)
Missed my point entirely. I said (edit: meant) there is no reason the small dormer windows on the towers to either side couldn't be rounded windows and dormers to match the ones on the main tower. Other than they would be more expensive.

You do realize this is at Walt Disney World right?
Yes, we do. The same Walt Disney World that used to see the value of sound architectural design over chasing paper.

There's also no reason to put those windows on the other towers. The primary tower which has these rounded windows is taller, and the rounded windows to go with it make the tower unique compared to it's neighbors. It's the lobby tower, it's special. All those with regular windows are standard towers with pretty much only rooms.

Disney doesn't care about the cost difference between rounded and rectangular fake windows. If you think their primary concern during architecture is the cost of individual pieces you seriously need to reconsider.

Comparing the minor difference in windows between towers (which also doesn't violate the different window shape rule - it's only bad if they change shapes on the same level) to horrible amalgamations of rooms and features built by builders with no sense of taste is a massive over exaggeration.

And if you're complaining about windows that don't go anywhere? This is Walt Disney World. I'm pretty certain there are more false windows than real windows on property.

Sorry if this has already been addressed previously, but still no pics or info about pool or amenities? Are they planning on selling this only on the rooftop restaurant and gondola access only?

No reason except a better design aesthetic. My opinion of course.

If you think anyone constructing a building does not care about the cost of individual components, you seriously need to reconsider.

What rule about window shapes? Got a link? The McMansion blog is just a blog, not a treatise on architectural theory.

Where did I ever complain about the windows being fake?
