Disney Rewards Card Points Total Thread

We currently have 212 points. Always look forward to the next statement's update. We charge all our bills, groceries, and purchases to the card. Makes it a bit less depressing knowing it's building towards future fun. Saving them all for our next trip. It's about a year's worth of points.

What's everyone's current total?

Loving all the replies. The rough average seems to be around 250 points. It's a true catch 22. It's great to build up a high balance but you don't want to have to wait too long to get to use them! All the Christmas shopping will no doubt be helping to pad everyone's balance :xmas:

One thing I wish is the the triple points offers were more reasonable.

I don't mind waiting a few years to have the points accumulated. I'm going with or without the points, so it's not like my trip depends on them. So, rather than cash them out every year and use them on souveniers or something, I would rather wait a few years until I have a big enough balance to actually pay towards the trip: either on tickets, dining or the room. This is kind of like the method some people have mentioned, of putting all their spare change in a jar and accumulating it into a good amount of spending money at WDW...except in this case, it's free "change" that someone else is giving us and not our own change, and it's all kept track of electronically vs literal coins in a jar. :)

We are at 971- Going home in 30 days!

We use it to pay all of our bills (utilities, cars, gas, mortgage, and our DVC dues!)

On our last trip, we had 820 points to redeem, it took care of just about everything the kids thought they needed:xmas:

266 until tomorrow, then I expect to be over the 300 mark. We use them for dining when at the world as we are AP holders for another week or so. We will let our APs expire and then purchase again before the May trip, the $40.00 savings isn't worth giving up 6 months of pass use when I know we won't go before May. We use the card for just about everything and pay it off at the end of the month. Probably the largest total I ever had was over 1500 points back in 2008. We have just been going more frequently in the past year to year and a half so the balance isn't that high

We've got 1326; been saving for about 5 years. They start to expire in June 2011. We're planning to go next summer and stay in a nicer place than we normally would. One question though, how long does it take to transfer?

Just called and my point balance is 205 or so. That's up from 125 or 135 last month, which only goes to show how much we've spent this month!

Granted, we paid the balance of our April trip, which was around 4700 bucks, or 47 points. But apparently, beyond that, we've spent more than I realized this Christmas season!

Love the Points

I charge everything I can. If I'm getting a coffee and they have a machine I can swipe I do. It's great, I'm never at the ATM and I bank on-line (pay all my bills on line too). Can't remember the last time I was in a bank. But I know this guy who charges all his expenses, utilities, mortgage and loans. I haven't gone that far but I think it a good idea. I mean you have to spend the money anyway and you get an extra 30 days to pay.
Well anyways, what I love the best is we get our girls each a reward card for our trip. They get to buy what they want (we have veto power). Funny one of them runs out in a couple of days and the other waits till the last day.
