Disney Resorts Showdown

What do you think is the best Disney Resort? AKL? WL? BLT? Post which resort you think is the best and WHY? I will start by saying that my favorite resort is Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The Villa rooms are large, spacious, and the theming is great. It is always great to wake up in your villa to see those wonderful Giraffes outside your balcony.

Port Orleans - French Quarter...the resort is small, easy to navigate...and hardly ever loud...I have thought about trying one of the Deluxe resorts, but I just love POFQ with it's amazing bus service and such...I have only ever had to wait for a bus there once or twice. I love the theme, and the food (Read Ice Cream Cookie sandwich and Beignets :) )

The Contemporary! What's cooler than a hotel where the monorail runs right through it! And everything is close by... No insane amounts of walking needed to get to your room. It has a nice theme, fireworks viewing, and a really good restaurant! By far, my favorite resort :)

I agree, the Contemporary is a great resort. Especially Bay Lake Tower. Whats better than relaxing in your own spacious villa with views of the lake or the MK fireworks.

Wilderness Lodge. Hands down the best resort on the property, the best location so close to the MK but you feel like you are in the middle of no where. The best themed resort and the best CM's on Club Level.

Very happy with CSR. We loved Beach Club and Wilderness Lodge but have to admit that anymore the high rack rates of the deluxes just don't carry good value for the money spent. CSR has beautiful grounds that are nice to walk in the morning, good theming and excellent dining choices. The pool is great for adults or kids and has one of the biggest hot tubs on property. As a mod it actually has doors between the sleeping and bathroom areas which is a great feature. We really liked the ambiance and CM's and feel it is better value for the dollar than the deluxe resorts.

I agree about Coronado. It has a certain serenity and beauty to it in the morning. Love it!

Mornings there are my favorite of any resorts we have stayed at. DD and I love to take a morning walk while DW is putting her face on on the morning. Two of my favorite shots from our last trip...

Beach Club is it for us. We're fortunate enough to stay concierge, and have tried that level at Yacht and at AKL as well. While we like the atmosphere at AKL, the multi-floor distance between rooms and the concierge lounge at AKL is off-putting. Agree that Disney's definition of concierge wouldn't make it elsewhere, we've justified that cost by avoiding breakfast costs via the food in the lounge (don't do meal plan). For us, Beach Club can't be beat.

I love Port Orleans Riverside. It's not too big, easy to navigate, and overall is so peaceful. I am so relaxed while I'm there. It's never too loud, and it's gorgeous! The food court is amazing as is the gift shop. Overall a fantastic resort!

Polynesian is my absolute fav!!! We have had so many wonderful experiences here in the past. I love the many transportation options and the ease of getting to one park or one resort, to another. Love watching Wishes at night on the Poly beach (where my now DH proposed) We enjoy sitting out on the large balconies at the start and end of every day.

We love staying on site but which resort depends on who we're traveling with (changes frequently among family members). My top 3 would be the poly, pofq, and por.

Its a close race for us between Polynesian or Riverside, so many good memories. When it comes down to it Poly is the winner. Its ability to transport you out of the hustle of everyday life is amazing and nothing beats a walk down to the beach to watch fireworks.

The Grand Floridian is my absolute favorite! It's the first resort I ever stayed at, the ambience is my style, I love feeling like royalty because the staff just has that extra special touch, and the location is superb.
