Disney Resort Question

I know there's more to a Disney Resort Hotel than just eating, sleeping and shopping.
Can you please name a Disney resort you have stayed at and what there is to do there other than the obvious?

Staying in a Disney Resort is NOTHING like Holiday Inn types. NOthing at all. You can look at all the resorts, see their prices and see pictures of each at www.disney.com click on vacations, then 'theme parks and more' Then go to WDW reservations and tickets. Then at the top, click resorts. THey all come up on the bottom! You wont see any holiday inn looking places there!;)
Cool. Thanks!

We have stayed at Caribbean Beach and PO-Riverside. I loved them both. I think the CB is a bit more romantic but either resort would be good for families.
I will be staying at AllStar-Music in September so that will be a totally new experience for me. I would appreciate any feedback on the AllStars. The only reason I booked at a value resort, we will be traveling with two 16 year old girls and I wanted them to have there own room so the All Stars were more cost effective

I've only stayed at AKL. An incredible experience.

Something we really enjoyed doing, was looking for the hidden mickeys around the resort. You get a list of clues at the service desk. Fill out the locations of the hidden mickeys when you find them, return the clue list with your answers to the desk, and you get a certificate!!

I don't know if all the resorts have hidden mickeys, or if it's just the deluxe, or the deluxe and moderates, etc. If anyone else knows for sure, please post.

Hey Passport, Id check an unofficial site WWW.wdwig.com for pictures of the resorts. This site has many more than Disney's official site and they are more like your own pictures, not pictures made for marketing. Most questions also can be answered via the FAQ on each resort. This site has an amazing amount of info on most subjects. Scroll thru the index to check out the catagories!! Good luck and have a blast!!!
