It's not the first time in this thread even he's shown off that "code" either.

There is no CODE here,

I happen to think professional sports are a cancer on society as they are used to distract people from the REAL problems of the day AND they distract so many kids from academic achievement it's sad watching kids thing they will make the major leagues in ANY sport, You watch them practicing their shots instead of algebra and calculus in the real world the guy who understands algebra and calculus has a lot better shot at a rewarding career rather than the few hundred spots in professional sports.

If people put a TENTH of the effort into solving problems in their community that they do with their 'March Madness' brackets, The US would be a lot better place.

First I am not a basketball fan and I know you like to make things up about how bad Disney is, but now you doing the same with the NBA. Team USA has dominated basketball over the last few years. It is time for you to stop posting all the trash that you do.

Disney does not need any help from me on their list of failures and screwups, As for pro sports well I think they are a cancer and they certainly have an above average level of criminality associated with them as compared to other forms of entertainment, up in NE we have Aaron Hernandez (Patriots, NFL) who is doing life for one murder and implicated in others.

I get that you're miserable in general but this is plumbing whole new depths, even for you.

You're entitled to whatever opinion you want but this whole diatribe is almost laughable; you seriously have a problem with young athletes trying to accomplish something in a field that they're passionate about? If you had a child who was talented in a sport, who had drive and a good work ethic, are you seriously telling us that would dissuade them from following their dream, that you would dismiss it out of hand so coldly?

You say its sad watching kids think they will make it in a sport. Its not, not in the slightest. Ambition in soceity's youth should be cultivated and encouraged in every field.

What is really sad here is your bitter, dismisive mindset.

Guessing cancer also comes in the form of Disney, vacations, movies, television, books, computers, board games or basically anything remotely fun because that's what all these things are there for us to do. To let us escape and enjoy ourselves even if just for a little bit.

This is stupid any child who wants to play sports should have a right to. They should just make sure their child had a back up in case they fail but no parents should crush their children's dreams.

Says the guy with 10,000 posts on a Disney message board. Why aren't you trying to solve some problems in your community?

According to the State of California, you would be correct:

I have mixed feelings on this. On one hand, I could care less about basketball and was bummed to hear it would come to Disney Springs. But on the other hand, I just wouldn't go, sort of like I do with Disney Quest right now. Probably, the best idea I've heard on this thread, is the five levels of different sports; like baseball, hockey, soccer, basketball, and football. I think everyone would get a little something out of it.
This may be a silly question, but what would guests have actually done at the NBA Experience? What would entice people like me to visit?

What would actually make any different sport or these different sports ideas actually enticing? It comes down to different decorations. Why does a picture of a basketball player make a dining experience better or different than one without or one with a picture of a football player? Do sneakers on a wall pull a room together differently than a pair of cleats?

I know I would personally would rather look at hockey memorabilia than football, but again that is just my personal taste. The reverse could easily be said by other people. Do I think mounting athletic footwear on a wall is enticing? No, but I thought that if Disney was still determined to put something sports related in that area, 5 floors of varying sports would draw a bigger crowd than just one. If they decided to go a completely different route and put a Broadway show there, I would be okay with that too.
When you said "putting sneakers on a wall" I couldn't help but think of Hard Rock Cafe. Not that we need another place to eat at Disney Springs, but was that what you were talking about?

Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood, all that sort of memorabilia as decor type places. They really haven't had much staying power as a concept.

I also don't think Disney has any attachment to a sports venue. The NBA going into Disney Springs seemed more like a rushed announcement to make up for being kicked out of CityWalk.

Thanks for clarifying, but that's a good point. Maybe Disney realized that the NBA was suddenly out and saw an opportunity to make an "easy" addition to Disney Springs. It wasn't really about bringing in a sport, but just a brand name that is recognized to fill a space that was floundering already.

Don't be so sure NBA is out. The latest I hear from this is that it is still very much on the cards.
Wonder if Disney was hoping someone else would come along when the NBA walked away. With no such luck and a huge building losing money, Disney may now be more willing to negotiate. Definitely fits with all the recent cuts, WDW would much rather be a landlord in this case.

I never actually got confirmation that NBA did walk away. So unsure what the full story is on this.
