Has anyone heard anything on the refurb? We will be there while it is closed. It says its closed thru Feb 6th. Hope it opens on the 6th we leave on the 7th.:brick:I love that attraction. Do they sometimes finish early?

I hope they just fix the scenters. Thats really the only issue I have with the attraction is that you don't always get the scent.

I doubt it--it's a very short refurbishment which leaves a very slim margin of error in their timetable. New attractions often open early, but run-of-the-mill refurbishments almost always open as scheduled (unless they discover a previously-unknown problem, in which case they sometimes extend refurbishments).

I was just there last week and the scents were working just fine. In fact I was surprised because they weren't working the year before and then last week I got a pretty good sniff of something at the beginning and it shocked me.

the could rehab alot on this, the curtains on the side screens are always hit and miss, the projector sometimes slides and looses focus/alignment! New sound, coat of paint, repair chairs! Replace the well worn carpet to fresh new carpet, new lighting etc.

Don't get me wrong, Phillharmagic is my fav MK attraction, but it could always use a spit and polish!

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.
They need to install something to zap the people who fail to "move all the way down to the end" and they and their party still just stop dead center, and plop themself down.. like they are not inconviencing anyone, and all that matters is them. Grrr Sorry.. that irritates me. :o

Me too. I wouldn't mind preferred seating (center 1/3 of the theater) for resort guests and AP holders. They would just need a seperate queue line. Actually such a system would be nice at all theater style attractions. Afterall, it almost always works that way everywhere else.

Where else is that done? I have been to alot of theme parks and never seen such a system in place. This would also confuse guests as to why there are varying wait times for the show and anger the guests being denied a good seat for the show.

Almost all stage shows and concerts have a seating plan that charges different prices for seating locations. I think it would be good if Disney provided for resort guests and premium AP holders with seats that are better. They would just have to seat those areas first and then let in your "general admiission" patrons. It would only require a bit of reconfiguration of the queues and seating. I'd love it though.

I could see that getting very, very ugly. I was in a group that provided special services for my University, particularly alumni events. Every year, the alumni office would buy out the stage-left-most section of the school's "Holiday Spectacular" and offer reserved seating to the alumni that were attending a special Christmas event. Part of my group's responsibilites was making sure that the reserved seating remained as such. All of the other seating was non-reserved, just like Disney theater shows.

Let's just say that it was not pretty. Even though the alumni were allowed to take their seats before general seating began, there were lots of very unhappy people. There would just be far too many logistical and service-related problems for this to be implimented at WDW.

Anyway, nearly every seat in a Disney theater has a really good view, save for perhaps Fantasmic and Lights, Motors, Action. (maybe it's a Studios thing :) )

Good points. Guess that is what EMH and seperate events provide anyway.

I agree this is a great show as-is. The last time I was there it needed a little care and attention - worn carpet, seats. etc.
I will be nice to see this back to shiny and new!

When someone in front of me does this, I just keep going and step over them (and my children follow and usually step on their feet). Many times I've had parties behind us continue following, so much so that I've seen people actually get up and move down to avoid getting stepped on any further. :)

Maybe if this happens enough they'll eventually learn.

BTW, Philharmagic is awesome - it really gives you a taste of what's possible. Compare the current magic carpet ride in Adventureland with Philharmagic and you get an idea of what the future could hold.
