The best way to get a central seat, without being a pain in the ..... is to just not rush in to the theatre.

We always wait back a little, and then go in, and 9 times out of 10 we are in the middle.

Thats not being unfair or anything, thats just using my prior knowledge to get a better seat.

But to be honest Philharmagic (when aligned and focused right) is awesome from every angle.

There's an effective and easy solution...

They need to install something to zap the people who fail to "move all the way down to the end" and they and their party still just stop dead center, and plop themself down.. like they are not inconviencing anyone, and all that matters is them. Grrr Sorry.. that irritates me. :o

...we have employed over the years. Stop and refuse to sit down, ask the people to move all the way down, and if they refuse explain that you have balance problems and are concerned about stepping on their feet. Then start walking down stepping on toes and feet, kicking over bags and cameras (careful not to damage anything), and fall a few times into people's laps. At 6'2" and 275lbs after about five steps everyone got up and moved down for me! I've done it at Country Bear and Philharmagic successfully during holiday season. :fork:

The other option, if the theater is full, is I simply refuse to sit down. I just stand there. I've done that 100x and the cast members ALWAYS come over and drag the guests down to the end. I've had some guests make snide remarks but I just smile at them and say "Have a WONDERFUL day".

If they don't speak English I'll start asking around, loudly, if someone can tell them to move down in Spanish, Chinese, Korean or whatever. That's worked as well. :ROFLOL:

...back to the original thread...

I agree all it needs is some spit and polish. I completely disagree with the preferred seating concept. It's un-democratic which should be one of the pillars of any magic kingdom, that everyone is equal.
