Disney Parks Don't Have the Market on Entitled Guests...

I just got off the Magic and actually spoke to the two ladies who work at the port in the video when I was looking to upgrade my stateroom. They were really friendly, gave me the Disney service I expected. She even noticed it was my birthday that day and gave me the button and sang Happy Birthday to me. I asked her about the video and she was a little embarrassed but I told her I supported her, and that based on the service I had received I know they did what they could for her.

She didn't comment, or say anything negative about the lady either, but said the narrative of what was shown was very different.

I noticed that too - She obviously knew the rules, but assumed that they don't apply to her. The Disney community is filled with those types.

I would argue that this type of mentality is not restricted to Disney guests. We see it everyday. The narcissistic behaviors where people must text and be self-absorbed to the detriment of others (I'm looking at you slow driver who is texting despite going about 15 mph slower than the speed limit on the interstate). I have heard younger people talk about how their generation is more well-informed and intelligent than any other generation. When I was in my 20's, I probably made or thought the same thing.

Just remember (if you're old like me) listen to, or look up the lyrics to "The Times They Are A'changin'" if you want to know what my generation thought about the older one. ;)
