Yes its wrong but they aren't going to change that. They pretty much have stated they don't really care about the AP holders any more. If it were me I would have gotten a refund on my pass and spent money elsewhere. Part of me doesn't feel bad at whats happening cause many of you keep coming back.
I still get my money's worth out of it (if I go twice a month, I break even just on parking fees alone), but it's frustrating. Deciding you don't care about a group of guests that you've already signed a contract with is utter bull

Going twice a month is not exactly sending them that message.

The goal is to have fun, not send a message. If if wanted to send a message, I'd have cancelled. But I'm pretty sure that's what they wanted, so I figured id stick it to them by keeping the pass, having fun, and complaining to strangers on the internet.
That showed ‘em!

I cancelled my AP.

For the refund.

Still have room rezzies for Dec and Feb at Dolphin and Pop, but, ready to cancel them if needed.

Class action won't go anywhere. You pretty much sign off on being at the will of Disney when you even buy any sort of ticket. Same with concerts, sporting events, etc. Read the fine print on your ticket.

"Passes do not guarantee theme park admission, especially during high attendance periods. Admission to the theme parks and availability of standard theme park parking are subject to capacity and other closures. Other restrictions apply."

As much as AP holders are keeping the business afloat, they're not going to turn off the vacationers who are going. I understand the frustration but from someone who is not local and can only go once a year and spends a high amount of money to do so, it's not really fair that I have to tell my young children the line is too long for a ride so Johnny 40 yr old can go on the same ride for the 8th time this month.

Im 31 and im sorry your geographical choice of residence isnt Florida? How many european tourist towns are now getting upset (before covid) and began to "ban" tourists and attempt to curb there visits...we put up with you guys....its just how the world works.

I have a resort stay in October. With the park pass system, with the possible exception of HS, is there really any need to rope drop a park at this time?

Another question. I recognize the difficulty for APs without a resort reservation. But, with a resort reservation, how easy or hard is it to cancel and reschedule another park the day before once you realize how your vacation is panning out and decide you would rather be in a different park the next day from the one that you had previously scheduled?

I just tried to get park reservations for my family next weekend (August 29 and 30) using our AP availability. Only park available was Epcot. Booked our room (Disney Springs area) and were able to get any park. Since we live in the Jacksonville area we prefer to not do day trips anyway, but the option sure would be nice...

Not really. But you arrive early at AK you can get in line for Flight of Passage and be off shortly after the park's official opening. You'll then have free reign of the park. Also, Splash waits have been the longest at MK so your wait there will be shortest first thing. Big Thunder and the Adventure headliners also get "long" lines so you might consider starting over there.

I think HS might be full on a Saturday. Otherwise, I don't think you'd have a problem switching.

Thanks.
1. Was thinking of getting breakfast at GF Cafe at 8am then monorail over to MK afterward. Probably won't be at MK right at the strike of 9am.

2. My plans are:
Mon - EP (arrive late morning/noon). Probably just drive straight to park. Then check in after park close.
Tue - HS
Wed - MK
Thur - AK
Fri - HS
Sat - AK

Sat is my checkout day so am debating what park to hang out in for half the day before driving home. (I live four hours from WDW). Maybe go back to Epcot since the park is so big?
