Last I heard SW Land was around and behind Star Tours. Maybe someone can clarify with one of their maps?
Here's a map someone made for how SWL will be laid out:

Edit: another, much more clear and amazingly done map by @marni1971

As it stands there is a thought that Guardians would be more suited here than at Epcot. Which may be true for the park, but not the location.

Yes it's a movie attraction. Yes it's futuristic. But DHS needs all the help it can get, and GMR should be the all encompassing marquee attraction for the park. Which is why it needs to stay as an updated and refreshed GMR. Mickey is a perfect fit for the Art Deco of Sunset, on the Ranch expansion plot. GMR again needs to be the parks anchor. And Guardians could easily fit into a phase 3 elsewhere in DHS in a purpose built building to fit it's environment. It's not an Epcot IP.

But that's the most expensive option. Even if it might be the best.
Couldn't they build a ride (new Mickey Mouse ride) where the SW Launch Bay is located?

It really sounds like they are a bit conflicted and perplexed on exactly which plan/route/choices to take with all of this?

Is there a chance that this happens? Or is the Mickey ride going into the GMR no matter what? I love the concept of the Mickey ride and I hope it gets built somewhere.

They'll never admit it but I think it's crystal clear that WB desperately wants to catch up to Marvel and is willing to pump out whatever they can and rush out Justice League. Say what you want about Marvel's many movies but they took time to introduce you to most of the characters before the big team ups. Not to mention they're all much better.

Marvel movies are fun, and the people making them have a respect for the source material and the fans, even if they don't hew to the original 100%. Now, look at DC, where one of their guys, David Goyer, trotted out the "comic fans are loser virgin guys" when asked about the Martian Manhunter.

So is there now a possibility that Mickey ride gets moved and GMR stays or the Mickey ride doesn't get built at all? Also has the GOTG e ticket at energy moved to DHS? Very confused now so many options.
Same here. I think best case scenario is that we get both the Mickey ride in a new building and the GotG e-ticket planned for Energy in DHS somewhere. I'm sure there no way we get both of those, but is it possible we get one of those scenarios?

Agreed I'll take Mickey in animation area, keep GMR, keep TOT, and GOTG e ticket in a new building in DHS. I'm assuming this won't happen though

I know @marni1971 mentioned some discussions are on-going as to a better fit, but I am still hearing GOTG is gong to EPCOT and Mickey to GMR or GMR area. . . That being said, I also just heard a new country for EPCOT may be getting closer to reality but that is not the first time I was told that piece of news. Maybe Russia will sign on if Trump moves into 1600 Pennsylvania?
