Disney Merch at Six Flags New England

For those that think Disney doesn't stock WB stuff, the Stuffed animal prizes at the boardwalk can feature all kinds of merch. Most everywhere they are really good about their own products - huggies (disney pix) kodak and whatnot -- but I have seen tweety and taz at the midway games.

I believe the merchandise is the same stuff Disney Consumer Products sells up and down International Drive and 192 by Disney World. They sell them to all the tourist gift stores up and down both Highways. If memory also serves me right I believe Disney Attractions is the sister company to them. They just market products differently. Build-a-Bear is even got Disney clothes for the bears you can make at the stores .And one better starting this Friday, June 9 they will be selling Mickey and Minnie in the stores. You stuff them and dress them up just like the bears. And for those who I know will ask ,Prices are $28.00 each or $50 for both. And they come with Mickeys pants and coat and Minnie's dress for that price

My wife went to six flags in Gurnee IL by chicago yesterday, and they had lots of Disney stuff. They even had under the see playing on the stereo, but it was a bad reggae version.:hurl:

With the new vision the parks are getting I would predict that in the next few years the parks are going to get much better. The CEO's new vision is very promising. He hired many people who worked in Disney's creative departments(not sure how many imagineers that means but it sounds good) and he idolizes Walt Disney. The guy admitted the parks needed a "complete re-do" and things need to change. If you watch some of CNN they have already had problems with many african americans and other ethnic groups upset because Six Flags is laying them off due to their "ethnical haircuts" Makes me laugh that they use that term. It shows you though the kind of change the parks should be going through over the next few years.

I hope they have new vision. My wife said that when my daughter met Fred Flintstone at 6 flags gurnnee IL, the hands of the costume were almost black from being so dirty, and the feet had holes in them:lol: I dont think I have ever seen a costume like that at Disney.

i was there and asked someone what the deal was with selling disney merchandise and i was told six flags bought the rights to be able to sell disney merchandise in the parks, so they are just trying to make a little more money with the disney name

Disney probably actually benefits from their generic merchandise being sold at places like SF. Just imagine the scenario- A family with a young kid enters the gift shop, and the kid screams "I want the Mickey Mouse!". Fast forward to later, after paying for said Mickey Mouse doll and walking down the sidewalk at SF, the young kid says, "Mommy, can we visit Mickey now?" And the mommy says, "No, honey, Mickey lives at Disney World." And of course the kid says, "Can we go to Disney World next time?" heheh Never ever underestimate Disney marketing.
