They are?I posted it in the main Covid thread, but unfortunately the UK's cases are heading upwards again. Hopefully not too far upwards...
A one-day increase doesn’t break a trend.

Member Services is for DVC. You can cancel online. Wait times were also not as high as someone claimed when I called for something else. Not if you book through an agent
With nobody under 12 vaccinated, this is just about mathematically impossible in WDW.Looking the vaccination demographic rate, would not be surprised at all if Disney guests are already around 80% vaccinated or higher. So that might not be the best idea.
It's not like the prior spike had any days that were up during the downward trend. Oh, wait, there were several times.
exactly, just the way data is reported, still going down
80% of adults, however, is probably not too far off. More than 70%, I’m sure. Higher in a couple weeks when southern schools return. With nobody under 12 vaccinated, this is just about mathematically impossible in WDW.
obviously, not counting those that can't be vaccinated, still kids <12 are not a huge percentage of the guest mix, they are there but not a majority by any means. studies have shown families with kids make up about 40% of the demo mix, so take the 40%, half is 20% would be roughly the amount of kids < 12 , probably even less. With nobody under 12 vaccinated, this is just about mathematically impossible in WDW.
Sorry I like to talk to actual people and not trust Disney’s IT department.Member Services is for DVC. You can cancel online. Wait times were also not as high as someone claimed when I called for something else.
Exactly. That’s why we use 7-day averages. A mid-week spike is common because people just test less on weekends. Who has time to get a nasal test with a fever when there are picnics and weddings to attend?!It's not like the prior spike had any days that were up during the downward trend. Oh, wait, there were several time.
DH has asthma, it doesn't severely effect him with a mask on, but the frequency of stops to get a break increased in general. We only had to deal with masks outdoors at Kings Island last year. If the wait was extensive or the mask free area was too far from where we were, he'd bend his head down, pull his mask down to use his inhaler then back on. Even that got us yelled at. I will say he has a habit of pushing himself too much though and could make things easier if he didn't try to go like he's a teenager again.I have asthma and I even use a CPAP at night. I don't seem to have any issues wearing a mask.

Exactly, some of my cousins who are RNs are exhausted after their 3 day work week. They look forward to their 4 days off to decompress among other things.Exactly. The whole point of Delta’s mutations is to spread as fast as possible. Everything up till then - the original strain, then Alpha and so on - the vaccines did a tremendous job of knocking down viral loads to the point where even if was spread, it wouldn’t be enough to trigger infections. It was great protection not just for the vaccinated but helped for the unvaccinated too. It’s part of why herd immunity would work if we got to the 70-75 percent number.
I saw a medical worker in one TX county saying their ICUs are full, and basically warned people that if they got into an accident or something, there likely wasn’t going to be a bed for them. This is the chain of events that terrifies medical personnel. And my friend’s daughter, she’s been a nurse for 2 ½ years, the ICU is filling up again and she’s almost at the end of her mental rope, burned out, exhausted. And so, so angry at how so much of this could’ve been prevented. She’s not even in her mid-twenties.
You know the science used to be settled on lobotomies until it wasn’t.This literally has nothing to do with the facts I posted from the CDC and the point you thought you were making.
I'm done engaging with ignorant science-deniers who believe they are smarter than the experts and who try and twist facts to fit their anti-vax agenda. Who also believe they're never going to get covid.
DONE.
The amount of willful ignorance, misinformation, purposeful DISinformation and anti-vax propaganda in this thread is shameful and should not be allowed to continue.
Good idea to buy masks prior to going to WDW. The ones at WDW will probably be marked up at a higher priceStopping in this thread after a while and things have seem to have gotten a bit ugly here. Please be mindful we all aren't going to think the same, no matter how right you think you are. Let's move forward and listen to each other and scream at each other. Masks are back indoors, we will deal with it and move on. You can still enjoy most things, its a step back but it's what the CDC seems a necessary move at the moment, whether you agree or not.
Still planning on my August trip, I'll just have to pack a few masks again
Pretty sure at this point they don't - nothing personal just they are following CDC guidelines which are thanks to people not following recommendations. However if you never use online MS you are missing out.Sorry I like to talk to actual people and not trust Disney’s IT department.
I also politely let them know why I’m canceling, and told them I hope Disney will start to support their vaccinated customers in the future.
I know that no one their cares but I was polite and wished them a magical day.
You know the science used to be settled on lobotomies until it wasn’t.
Nicolaus Copernicus was ridiculed and shunned from the scientific community when he suggested that the earth moves around the sun. They even buried him without a head stone.
The burbonic plague was thought to be because of desease before physician Ignaz Semmelweis decided to start to wash his hands. They rediculed him for using such practices.
science is never settled and should ALWAYS be questioned.
Can you link me the data showing the vaccinated are spreading the virus?Unless, of course, it’s the CDC updating their guidance based on new science and data, and them OMIGOD THEY’RE MORONS IT’S A CONSPIRACY.
Not denying it outside of a hold time being vastly different. But you also posted you canceled so I assumed a typo.I’ve even posted screen shots of my trip plans people still don’t believe you.
Guess I should have screen shot my hold time since everything you say here is questioned.
Why such denial people are canceling anyways.
