Do we think they will come back outdoors? do we think disney will change anything else (distancing, plexiglass.. im already guessing no to limited capacity) or do you think this is just to follow the CDC?

Nope…there’s precedent.

and that’s in the highly litigious north…

not the “right to work” utopia of Florida. Which means the employer can do and require anything they want of you with not real recourse

Cause: ‘Merica!

ain’t it great? 🤪
Not a "right to work" consideration. You may be referring to "At Will" employment. Montana is the only state that is not purely "At Will". Right to Work refers to the ability to be employed in a union shop without being a member of a union.

That is essentially what the CDC is saying when they say that vaccinated people should be wearing masks indoors. A vaccine which doesn't prevent transmission isn't really what many would consider a "vaccine that works."
Actually, what they are saying is..." We HAD a vaccine that worked very well, however the general public screwed up the efficacy of it by not taking the vaccine, pretending the pandemic was over, and now the virus has mutated to a strain that potentially outwits the vaccine for some people."

They still work very well. Very very well. The vaccines are not screwed up.

Delta also did not originate in the US.

You know the science used to be settled on lobotomies until it wasn’t.

Nicolaus Copernicus was ridiculed and shunned from the scientific community when he suggested that the earth moves around the sun. They even buried him without a head stone.

The burbonic plague was thought to be because of desease before physician Ignaz Semmelweis decided to start to wash his hands. They rediculed him for using such practices.

science is never settled and should ALWAYS be questioned.
Bubonic. Just sayin.... :)

But Fauci noted there is not yet clinical data on what the high viral loads mean in terms of disease transmission. "You can make a reasonable assumption that vaccinated people can transmit the virus just like unvaccinated people can,

Vaccines also apparently cut the death rate by about 95%, based upon that chart. Who knew? And that’s with the spectre of the tiger-strength Delta versus the previous kitten-strength escape variant.

Are we really believing the change in policy is due to the new data that suggests, maybe, possibly, potentially, high viral load for unvaccinated? I don’t care how the CDC wants to spin it. It’s all about places of business not being able to differentiate between unvaccinated and vaccinated. As I recall, the honors system was the fear around here when masks started dropping.

No... that is not what is being said (at least not mostly) the problem is we give all new equal weight. There are breakthrough cases, there always have been a few and there still are... but they are an extreme minority of the overall cases. The vaccine still works very well, and it does it's job. It prevents serious illness, it prevents death in nearly all cases... it prevents symptoms in most cases, and it prevents transmission in most cases as well.

Sure there are exceptions. Most states are reporting 99+% of all hospitalized and death cases as being unvaccinated. Also, it is estimated that it is 88% effective at preventing asymptomatic cases. So there are approx 12% of vaccinated cases that have the potential to spread the virus. HOWEVER.. even in those 12%, the viral load is typically much lower than an unvaccinated person... meaning that while they can spread it, they spread it less efficiently (compared to the unvaccinated).

In short.. don't be stupid... get the vaccine!

"But the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention did not publish the new research. In the text of the updated masking guidance, the agency merely cited "CDC COVID-19 Response Team, unpublished data, 2021."
