Then I assume Disney will be printing a ton of “please wait here” signs.Effective Immediately, the guidance has changed from 6 to 3 feet.

Yes. They just say “Please wait here”Couldn't they just add more markers in between the old ones instead of moving all of them?
I feel stupid. Good pointCouldn't they just add more markers in between the old ones instead of moving all of them?
It could be done within a week. They’ve already made changes over the last 10 months as they’ve installed plexiglass. So, it isn’t a huge deal. Will disney go around changing the markers right away to accommodate 3 feet or wait? I can see why it's in their best interest to load rides more efficiently. I just wonder how long that would take for them to replace every single one. The rearrangement of queues were quite elaborate when we went last summer. Haunted mansion line twisted all the way around the river boat area. It was wild.
I admittedly have selfish motivations here as we go in three weeks. I really want masks to still be around for that time. I'm not ready. I'm not ready It takes me a long time to accept something so it will take as long to accept no masks as I did when the mask mandate started.
There were studies several months ago that said masks do provide some protection to the person wearing them. I know I may try to wear a mask from now on if a person next to me on a flight is visibly sick. Maybe you would feel better if you continued to wear a mask after the powers that be decide they are no longer necessary to protect others, especially if most are vaccinated and the numbers come down. You're not the only person I've heard express that concern. Will disney go around changing the markers right away to accommodate 3 feet or wait? Not sure if we are talking about same thing...but I assumed the "the facial covering mandate will be lifted for individuals outdoors" was for fully vaccinated, while the "all mandates lifted" was for first does. Or did you read something differently somewhere?Okay, so I looked closely. It is 50% over 16 receiving just the first dose. That is expected around May 20.
Everything refers to just the first dose. Demmings literally said they’d reach 50% in about 3 weeks. Currently at 43.4%.Not sure if we are talking about same thing...but I assumed the "the facial covering mandate will be lifted for individuals outdoors" was for fully vaccinated, while the "all mandates lifted" was for first does. Any chance they add more park availability as a result of the loosened guidelines?
It says all individuals. I take that to mean unvaccinated as well. Herd immunity looks like the goal for them and the outdoor mask thing seems to be a long time coming. There hasn't been a lot of data to support wearing them outside.
Gotcha. I was only reading the wdwmagic article. Thanks.Everything refers to just the first dose. Demmings literally said they’d reach 50% in about 3 weeks. Currently at 43.4%.

The mayor said they’re at 43.4% in Orange County. 50% expected within 3 weeks.Gotcha. I was only reading the wdwmagic article. Thanks.
In that case, I would expect them to reach 50% much sooner. Currently 41.1% of the total population of Florida has gotten their first does, which means approx 47.9% of the 18+ or 47.2% of the 16+ to having received their first does. We would be looking at in a matter of days (6 to 8 days) to reach that number. Or do you again think I am missing something here?
Disney is working on changes. First though, focus is on a successful Disneyland opening.Once again, Orange County mandates =/= WDW restrictions.
Until we hear directly from WDW they're adjusting, I'm taking everything with a grain of salt. Honestly, I expect Universal to start adjusting first. Half the people behind me in queues already use the 3 ft rule, so this will be no change for me!
We returned from a trip 2 weeks ago and people were not really following the 6 foot markers. With them most people probably stood about 3 feet away, even though some were right on top of you like the old days. Outside with a mask up to the low 80's this wasn't a big deal. Now if the markers are 3 feet apart and there are 3 people in your party, then the next marker is right on top of someone anyway. Switching from 6 to 4 or something is a huge pain having to pull up many, and 3 would be almost pointless. They might as well just have arrows on the ground and tell people to leave 3 feet between parties rather than have markers to stand on.
I'd rather see them stay at 6 feet in lines and drop masking outdoors when Orange county does. For shows perhaps they can get down to 3 feet and masked indoors, or 3 feet and no mask outdoors.
No doubt, but some here seem to think that it's an immediate change based on the order. I won't be surprised if it takes at least a month to get it planned and rolled out.Disney is working on changes. First though, focus is on a successful Disneyland opening.
