I'm slim through diet and exercise and I still can't even fit under my bed. You're right, I should be hiding under the bed! The masks indoors at WDW will protect us all!

They have to say that. Buford I know the UK is different but in Florida, no one cares. Itâs over. Life is normal. The pandemic is only important in the places where people tell others to say itâs important. If a CM decides they want to tell me to put a mask on, I smile and (slowly) put it on. Otherwise, I donât. Very simple.âBy entering Walt Disney World Resort, you acknowledge that you understand and will abide by the above health-and-safety requirementsâ â WDW website.
There is no excuseânone whatsoeverâfor flouting or skirting the mask requirement. Itâs selfish and obnoxious. If you donât want to visit Disney wearing a mask (and I get it, because I donât and wonât), just wait until the requirement is dropped. It really isnât that complicated.
Yawn.
The Redneck Riviera of NW FL will gladly take your money also. Are we still talking about masks?
Have you not seen the news?
There is a new variant the media is gleefully fear mongering , you can already read the breathless headlines everywhere.
Just spend your money elsewhere, I traveled to Florida, Tennessee, Arkansas and Missouri so far this week and I have not worn a mask once.
Most people have moved on, just avoid Disney and let it rot.
I'm sure you will be approached by cast after fellow guests point you out for not complying with WDW policy. They have to say that. Buford I know the UK is different but in Florida, no one cares. Even during normal times, guests at WDW are constantly being told what to do. Itâs among the most regulated holiday destinations one can go to.In general, I believe that people do not like to be told what to do.
Snitches get stitches.I'm sure you will be approached by cast after fellow guests point you out for not complying with WDW policy.
I also recall when Disney parks went to designated smoking areas years ago . I saw fellow guests approached by cast. The smokers at that time did not take feedback well at all.Even during normal times, guests at WDW are constantly being told what to do. Years ago when I was a CM, I picked up an overtime shift at Caseys. Then donât go? Disney cast members donât make the rules.
This isnât a US vs. UK thing. As youâll recall, I live in the US anyway. The pandemic is far from over where I am. In my hometown of London, where I havenât been in almost two years, mask compliance is said to be shockingly low. You would probably feel right at home there. They have to say that. Fear is one of the main drivers of news media these days. One of the main reasons I donât watch and am careful about the sources I read.
I have a feeling that that guest is a member of this forum.Years ago when I was a CM, I picked up an overtime shift at Caseys.
A guest ordered iced tea, and I poured it. The tea came out hot and a bit concentrated from the machine, so the rule was to fill the cup with ice to the top, and pour the tea into it. This way the hot tea would melt a good amount of the ice, and the melted ice would water it down to the right consistency.
One guest began shouting at me that this is just another way Disney is ripping guest off and demanded I fill an empty soft drink cup with it. I refused, because as a CM, I didnât make the rules. Just let him yell.
I have a feeling that this guest now refuses to wear masks, and gives any CM a hard time.
That guest is the reason I stopped picking up overtime shifts at any F&B locations. If he's here, he can rot.I have a feeling that that guest is a member of this forum.
Because at WDW it is just for show. Wearing them in the limited situations there does nothing for spread. And the fact that other theme parks in the area are doing just fine without it is another reason itâs dumb. Also, itâs anti vaxx.I honestly canât believe how big of a deal some of yâall make wearing a mask indoors. Sheesh.
At least you have the choice of going or not. Many members lost points because they couldnât go, either because the parks were shut or because they couldnât fly to the US. And some will continue to lose points now as travel starts to be restricted again. The complication lies in choosing to not go at all and lose your points and money...or...go on the trip and not enjoy yourself because of the mask requirements. DW and I are of the opinion that since there is no mask mandates where we live we don't want to go on vacation to be restricted. That's the opposite of a vacation in our opinion.
However, if not going means you've just thrown away the points/money because said points are going to expire then it does indeed make the choice to go or not complicated.
You feel bad for the CMâs?This isnât a US vs. UK thing. As youâll recall, I live in the US anyway. The pandemic is far from over where I am. In my hometown of London, where I havenât been in almost two years, mask compliance is said to be shockingly low. You would probably feel right at home there.
The behaviour youâre engaging in at WDW is obnoxious in the extreme. Thereâs no other word for it. I feel sorry for the CMs whose jobs youâre selfishly making harder, and I hope a manager notes what youâre doing and removes you from the parks.
As a fortune teller and to use baseless assumptions , the feedback is way off target. You feel bad for the CMâs?
Doubt that.
If you did you would be wondering why they are forced to wear a mask all day.
Everywhere else they go in the state is mask free.
At least they can easily find other employment as many of them have.
Maybe Disney should survey the CMâs about if they want to continue to mask?
The reality is you care about the CMâs as long as it aligns with your worldview.
If the cast demanded the removal of masks tomorrow, you would be arguing they are not epidemiologists and should shut up and do their job.
Sure it isAs a fortune teller and to use baseless assumptions , the feedback is way off target.
