Are you guys vaccinated? Are you worried about getting the virus?

If you are fine with both those questions and the only reason you would cancel is due to masking inside - are you okay with disappointing your wife and kids who want to go just because you don't want to wear a mask?
My wife, myself and my 12 year old are all fully vaccinated. My 10 year old is not but was asymptomatic last Nov so not too worried about infection. I did not cancel is because I do not want to disappoint them. Just sucks because the whole reason I was again willing to book was because masks were gone.

We are going next week and I have been trying to convince myself masks won’t be a big deal. I had to wear it at work again starting yesterday and was reminded how much I really do not like them at all. My kids (10,12) and wife do not mind them and still want to go, but I do not want to wear one, especially while on an expensive vacation. Anyone else struggling with the decision to keep or postpone their trip?
If it’s any consolation, I live 30 miles away from the World, with an annual pass, and canceled all of my reservations (parks AND dining). However, I can go whenever I want...aside from the park reservation thing. If I had a trip scheduled here from out of state, I wouldn’t cancel. Masks inside aren’t that horrendous where I would cancel a vacation. However, if for whatever reason they go back to masks outside, then you definitely don’t want that this time of year. It was almost 80 degrees when I ran at 5AM this morning, plus humidity.

Just curious has anyone seen any other theme park or amusement/entertainment type location require masks again like Disney rather than just “encourage” it? Seems like Disney is the only one doing this at the moment which is…interesting
Disney's high profile necessitates the cover your butt decisions. The other amusement venues can actually slide by under the radar.

Interesting?

They pride themselves on being a world class leader, so why would they not also be a leader in setting the standard for safety during the pandemic?

Nope! Nothing like being the only company in the country requiring masks AND getting sued by one of your high profile stars 😝! They’re having a great week.

It's great that you don't want to disappoint your family, but you are part of the family to, so your comfort level is important. If I was in your wife or kids place I wouldn't want to force you to take a vacation where you won't be comfortable.

Ha! I'd be a mean wife. I'd say "wear the mask inside and get over it. You'll be fine." :D

If person was afraid for health reasons, then I'd see it differently.

I think Disney has the right and obligation to set the rules how they see fit. I can also see how Universal could reap the rewards of more guests now that they are slightly seperated from Disney on the covid ruleset.
