Yeah there's no way the majority of the non-vaxers are gonna comply.
And the seasons, they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down
We're captive on the carousel of time
We can't return, we can only look
Behind, from where we came
And go round and round and round, in the circle game

Fair enough. At least you have been honest in saying that you are not following the science, but going on your own feelings. Which, while I disagree with, I can respect. But for those who say they are "following the science," this makes sense.
I think the issue is that a lot of people who aren’t vaccinated are going to ditch the masks. Which puts some people such as young kids at risk.

I am curious what the 2 to 12 year old will be doing. Will most unmask as well and Universal look other way. Will parents unmask but make their child wear a mask (especially love entertaining this thought when it comes to 2 year old, because at that age they can not comprehend the reasoning they have to wear it but their parents wouldn't).

I am not saying whether I think they should wear masks, just what most will be doing, and what parents of (especially the younger ages) will do.

Here are the new UO mask guidelines -

Seems premature given vaccination rates. But win-win for them. They get to say they're following cdc guidelines while putting it on the guest to ensure compliance and saving a ton of labor.

If you're gonna go this route, at least have the balls to say "Adults who are not fully vaccinated and all children 2-11 who are not enrolled in a vaccine clinical trial should wear masks whenever indoors". Wouldn't be much wordier than some of Disney's announcements 😂

Kids under 12 are already going maskless in the parks, and everywhere. It is what it is.

The question now is, when will Disney announce no masks indoors? Tonight?
God I hope not. We are fully vaccinated and heading to Disney tomorrow for our first trip in three years. I was all for the removal of masks outdoors - even among the unvaccinated, it has been known for a while that spread is minimal outside. But I am not sure I would be ready or comfortable being packed in an indoor queue line with thousands of unmasked people, even with the vaccine.

This is where bieng a parent/guardian kicks in. If you are worried about your child getting COVID, you don’t take them to the theme parks. It’s your responsibility to protect your child. Not theme parks.

Good point. I would take it further and say that if anyone is worried about getting covid, just don't go instead of trying to police what everyone else does. I'm always amazed when healthy, vaccinated people who aren't even in an at risk category start panicking because mandates are going away for other people. If you're that much of a worrier then you have no business going out into public right now.

So Universal directly following the current CDC guidelines for masks is dumb?
They're not following, they're requesting that guests follow. I personally believe that during a pandemic they have a duty to enforce rather than request compliance.

Make a wristband for anyone who wishes to voluntarily produce a vaccine card. Mask or wristband required inside. Boom. Enforcing cdc guidelines.

To me it's about following the rules. So yes, I plan to make sure my kid masks indoors until he's fully vaccinated. It is what it is and he needs to follow rules too.

It will be harder for toddler age, but I have had no issues masking my kid when I do not have to.

Looks like Sea World pulled the switch as well.

They actually pulled their inside switch two weeks ago...when the new CDC guidance came out. Disney and Universal only dropped outside at the time.

Wow. When Fauci told everyone not to wear masks last March, would you have kept your kids from wearing them because they need to follow the rules?
