"Face coverings are optional in outdoor common areas at Walt Disney World Resort, but are still required upon entering and throughout all attractions, theaters and transportation."
Can’t wait to see all those guests without masks being denied entry. That is until Disney figures the almighty dollar is more important. “Let ‘em in, who cares.”

It's more stationary than a brisk walk through the park. It's not unusual to go several minutes without moving which is why masks are going to be required.

With a queue you're still in close proximity to people for an extended period, which increases risk I believe. Walking around outside not so much.

I'd really recommend anyone visiting WDW get vaccinated first. There's really no excuse not to. I just don't trust the honour system.

How long did it take each resort to remove temp screenings? Changes to distancing? Why would this be any different?
I have left Epcot at 11:30 PM one night and came back at 9:00 AM the next day and seen the park 100% transformed. Every flower bed, every lamp post banner and sign. Disney could easily make changes in a very short time period.

The difference there is that on those transformations everything is already produced and mapped out and it's just a matter of doing things. For something like this, new signage would need to be made, etc

I'm not saying they cannot do it, but I wouldn't walk in tomorrow expecting it all to be transformed

Yeah I feel like "common areas" means walking down Main Street but entering a queue means mask on. It also seems like on say Dumbo mask is on because it may be outdoors but it is an attraction...
I think they are going to have to very much clarify after they see how its going tomorrow.

There will be 4 or 5 sour faces around here with these mask drop decisions.

Some love those masks so much they manufacture excuses to keep the protocol and proudly display themselves wearing them.

Times are a changin again and I love it.

Whoever wants can still wear them and they are still required just not outdoors.
