Seems every 2 years they build a DVC high rise so where do you think the next one will go when Lakeshore lodge is finished in 2027.

Well they do have an Animal Kingdom Lodge right next door.... A really beautiful lodge spanning the entrance of Animal Kingdom could be beautiful...but I really kind of love the underbuilt, jungle exploration entrance....

I wouldn't mind if they build/encroach on the parking lot a bit if it means DAK get's a nicer arrival experience with more shade lol

Could see it mimic the Explorers Lodge (or have a South America theme) to tie to Tropical Americas.

I think that would be really bad at EPCOT; it would block views of Spaceship Earth. Plus EPCOT already has three hotels within easy walking distance.

It probably wouldn't be as big of a deal at current DHS since they've basically given up on the original Hollywood theme anyways, but the front entrance of DHS is very well designed with call backs to numerous LA landmarks from the Golden Age. A hotel there would kind of throw that all away.

Yes, I think it would be more trouble than it's worth to try and retrofit a sizeable hotel into the entrance of one of the existing parks.

I don't see how a hotel could be built at the entrance of Epcot unless it was off to one side rather than over the entrance itself, which I believe was a fairly recent proposal. The entrance to DHS seems like it would be a pretty tight space for a resort, though I guess if they demolished the Beauty & the Beast stage area maybe they could put something in there. A condensed version of AK Lodge could go at the entrance of DAK, but not sure it would be really worth it considering they have the more expansive version nearby and this one would still only be close to that one park.

In short, doesn't really seem worth it.

I can imagine a resort that leads right into the Villains Land of Magic Kingdom would be sold out daily.

I think this could happen, and would be on the right timeline after Reflections is complete.

People want walking distance to Epcot. I could see Disney trying to put another DVC there, especially since the current ones won't be available until 2042. I currently own at VGF and would like an Epcot offering. If Riviera was walking distance, I would definitely be purchasing there. Right now I am on the fence.

If Riviera were actually fully themed out to be the beautiful Disney Resort it should have been, we would have bought there too...but thought the only real plus is the Skyliner...other than that you are trapped at a hotel with nothing around...

To each their own. I really enjoy Riviera. If it wasn't for the restrictions on resale contracts, my wife and I would have bought there instead of VGF when we added DVC points.

If they need to build it to completion before it can make money, they'll build it as fast as possible. E.g., a new hotel, a new 'gate.'​

If revenue remains basically the same no matter when it's completed, there's no rush to complete it and they'll take their time. E.g., a new ride in a profitable gate.​

I still really feel like there must be cash rooms at this resort. It's so blatantly a hotel with a trifold offshoot DVC wing with a dedicated entrance and parking lot still in tact. Maybe they are feeling confident enough with MK plans that they need more cash rooms for MK? Especially since the last ten years eliminated rooms at Poly, Grand Flo, Wilderness Lodge and the Cabins.

I think its going to be full DVC.
Folks are always welcome to pay the insane nightly rates for DVC rooms.

But who knows what's going to happen after EPIC opens....

We haven't seen anything to suggest a change of plan from mixed.
